Can I be your son too? There is a classifieds section on here. Also ebay had some nice ones that just ended but did not sell. Here are the links:

rpmsportscars.com always has nice ones if you willing to pay. I know a couple of those links are c2s but hey they are better anyways.

Hey Dad! What about me? Does your son want my 951? You can give me the 993. I'm in the market for one myself.

I beg to differ about the 2s vs. 4s comment above! ;-) the 2s has the wide butt like the 4s, but obviously the 4s has awd. you decide if you like that - I certainly do. the 4s also has bigger wheels, big red brakes, etc. basically upgraded to tt running gear without the turbos and rear wing. so the 2s is cosmetic, the 4s is a cosmetic AND mechanical upgrade.

in any case, to each his own.

make sure you get something with all records, do a PPI with comp and leakdown, etc. lots of this stuff if you do a search.

finally, there is a wide price range. REally nice low miles cars are big bucks. They are getting less and less common, obviously. But you do not need to go low miles unless that is just something you have your heart set on (or your son does).

Feel free to email or PM any time.

Best of luck

Doing a quick search of the RL classifieds, the 1st car I found was a GR '96 C4S.

I should have said IMO. I am just not a huge fan of awd. The c2s IIRC is more tosible and lighter which appeals to me. Also if I am not mistaken I thought the c2s came with 18's. It also has the split grill which is cool. No big reds though. They fetch more money usually as well. Which is why I will probably end up buying a c4s here soon even though I want the black pristine c2s I linked above.

The split grill looks nice but it is purely cosmetic. I'm also perplexed as to why the C2S's command so much more money when they have less than a C4S.

Rarity. Wide body w/ no AWD. They seem to be more coveted by the collector types.

Anyone know what the production numbers of the C2S and C4S were?

Just to stay on topic, here's a fellow member's C4S that is for sale
