The saga of Rufus...
Some of you may recall several hysterical (and I don't mean funny) threads of mine concerning my attempt to pruchase Rufus from a reseller in Alabama. Well, despite lengthy delays, through no fault of the seller, (hurricanes, among them) Rufus is finally loaded on a truck, and headed west. I may see him as soon as Sunday or Monday, but trust me, I've stopped holding my breath. The Ruf front bumper/splitter has been found and is also being shipped as are the Ruf invoices and the spare LWF/clutch assy. Whew. I just need the previous owner to get the service records, Ruf emblems, and other small parts shipped out. Whew. This has been a long process. Thanks for everyone's wishes during this period.
I'll be happy to report on Rufus as soon as I see him and drive him. My fingers are very, very crossed.
Waldo, in the meantime, is getting ready for sale. New GT1 turbos and the exhaust header modification (what the hell... we're already in there!) will make Waldo a pretty strong car... Kevi's thinking about 475HP with decent fuel and low restriction exhaust. There are several Rennlisters that have expressed an interest in Waldo, but I need to make sure he goes to a very loving home.
Thanks everyone. Again. Whew.

Good luck with everything. Can't wait to see some pics of Rufus. Waldo sounds like a mighty fine TT who has treated you well.
Have you been to your doctor at all through any of this? ......sounds like you could have high blood pressure, anxiety, hyper tension and a slew of other possibly severe (to an old fart) conditions.
I'm sure we'll meet on a future run.

Steve,
I've been out of town for a couple of weeks and when I checked into Rennlist last night, your RUF came to mind and I wondered about any progress. Thanks for the update. Hope you get to see the car in person very soon.

Thanks everyone for your support through my crazed behaviors. I just got a call from the truck driver... Rufus will be here Sunday evening! I can't wait to drive him and then wash him, and then drive some more. Yehaw!
Waldo is at least a week from getting the turbos bolted back on. I hope I have both of them in my garage at the same time. My neighbors will go bonkers!

Two more nights of P-Car dreams. Sunday sound like a great day.
Keep us posted.
If my C2S wasn't so new to me (we're still dating) I would be down driving your TT to tempt myself.

Rufus Arrives!!!
Rufus arrived and seems to be mostly intact. The trucking company let a hook drag on the roof and it dented and scratched it. They will cover it, but I have to get an estimate and file a claim. Plus... I really didn't want to put paint on the Ruf roof.
He's dirty, but runs great. Both seats are stuck in the most rearward position (the buckinmg bronco routine didn't free them), so I need a cushion to drive it. The power feels right... more HP than Waldo, but it didn't make my eyeballs bleed. Feels good.
A few things will need attention, but its pretty much as I expected. I'm relieved.
