OG, take the rennlist decal off your car please. If your neighbor
accesses this forum we all will be reported for spending well
beyond our means. If my wife ever finds out about my addiction
the consequences would be unbearable.

how the hell do you manage that ? wowzers!

anyway, back on topic.

thats pathetic what he did. probably another one of those guys who spent their entire life getting degrees and never making making or living their lives.

in any case, envy can be dangerous.

now you REALLY need to get another/new car just to f_ck with his head.

you should do something about it, perferably in the same anonymous manner he was kind enoguh to use when 'reporting' you.

Let's not forget Robert Hanssen who was on the Soviets payroll for over 15 years. He lived a posh lifestyle well beyond his means and no one, not his wife, neighbors, or co-workers said a word. The damage he did is still being evaluated, but was is known is that he was responsible for the deaths of many of our resources both foreign and domestic.

While I don't condone your neighbor's actions, I do understand it. How would you ask a neighbor what his resources are for that new car??

I'm sorry but it just seems ridiculous how your neighbor would do something like this when you specifically told him you were going to sell the 993 turbo TO GET the gt3...

OG -

Now would be the perfect time to send an anonymous letter to the IRS concerning your neighbors sources of income. Nothing says MYOB like an audit.

Best wishes,
Howard

WOW. I understand jealousy but, I guess I'm niave enough to believe this is still a free country and that affords us all some privacy in our personal lives, i.e.. finances and the bedroom at a minimum. I guess fear is an overpowering emotion.

I have seen most of the people around me get jealous when ever I owned a P-car. I NEVER let my employees know I own these cars. I can hear it now, "if he can buy a car like that, I should get a big raise. I don't have to produce much he won't miss a thing."
I even had a supplier tell me recently, after he found out I had the 993, 'wow, I should have charged your more. WTF!!!

The solution is easy
1. Change jobs
2. Move so you have no neighbors

There's not much I can add about your nosy neighbour that hasn't already been said. Unfortunately, Scandinavia is full of jealous neighbours who will ring the tax authorities if it looks like you are too successful. It's called "Jente law" and one of the most depressing attributes about this corner of the world.

As for the management at your company, I am shocked that they would even listen. How does anyone know that you didn't inherit some money, or win a lottery, or your wife got a bonus, etc? Can you confirm that you work for the military, and can they really audit a whole family just because one family member is in the military?

I'd lend you a CGT for a week if I could

i don't like to explain what i do to anyone, i have no patience and don't give a f'k. so i buy what i like and hide them in various garages. nothing is titled under me and of course no one know i surf rennlist and i wear disguise when i goto BAR drives.

anyways, back to topic. OG, calm down and just enjoy the TT now and GT3 later. hope to see you soon in whatever it is you will be driving next.

That's why I have a "1.8T" badge on the S4 and hide the Porsche from colleagues, dates, my ex-wife and neighbors. I know it's sad but for me that's life.

OG - move on and get that waterpumper GT3

This is unbelievable!!! Just jealousy disguised under what your neighbour will probably call a patriotic attitude!!!
Old Guy, if I were you, I would light up my BBQ everyday that guy is downwind, and never talk to him anymore.
I was in the military for long enough to know what it could have meant for your everyday's life if there would have been a little doubt.
I understand the fact that your senior management called you as a proof they understood from whom they got the "info" and just wanted to let you know!

I suppose your first mod on the GT3 will be CUP exhaust
BTW the bad news about the GT3 is that we will loose you on the 993 forum
