OG, that just plain sucks. Sorry to hear you had to go through something like that over something that is clearly a passion for you. Regardless of which ride you have, install some supercups and make sure you don't keep the rpms under 5500 when you go by a@@hole's house -preferably at 2 am.. Guess I am not crazy about people sticking their nose into things if they don't have the entire picture.

OG, What a loser neighbor you have. BTW, what are you asking for that '97 993 TT (how many miles on it too)?

Isn't that like a stealthy, stealth sports car (an enigman wrapped in a mystery)? I agree as well, unfortunately. People I report to understand but there are definitely people in my office who probably shake their heads. I say screw them, but I still don't like it.

Paul:

Sorry to hear that you are going through this stuff. I had a similar "public sector" situation after I took a "M" BMW to work after a track weekend. Unbelievable...

Back when that happened, I had to walk my boss through a comparison of what most folks spent on "nights out" that lots of folks around the office bragged about and compare that to my car hobby. Even though the numbers balanced, he still suggested that I leave my "race cars" at home. Bad image for the agency and all that. WTF???

Sorry man...

OG-if you have a dog, I'd get a paper bag and a cigarette lighter and go visit the guy who lives next door (person doesn't deseve to be called a 'neighbor').

OG, I agree with you. What I'm saying is that I kind of understand why he did it (I will not write a philosophical essay on how easy it is to be an ******* if he convinces himself that he's doing it for a greater good).
I think what you've experienced simply comes with territory. Shrug it off and forget it. Just keep in mind what the guy is capable of. I would not confront him nor seek any revenge. Nothing good will come of it, if you think about it long-term. Don't let him drag you away from your comfort and your life.

Even though I'd want to knock this guy's f#cking head off, I think this is some sound advise.

OG, nevermind the GT3, go get a CS and then give your neighbor the finger.

OG

You will be paid a visit from some HWFMR security operatives who are currently flying out from World HQ.

We are worried that with all this money you are throwing around, you will buy a fast car and embarrass the team. You got lots of 'splainin to do.

The Big Turtle

(PS: Various government agencies, and every airport with a PA system, have spent the last 3 1/2 years telling all of America to report anything suspicious. Unfortunately some of our fellow citizens may not be astute enough to judge what is truly suspicious. My God, think if your naeighbor ever saw the OT board.

btw, I think our teammate Nile13 has given you lots of good advice and perspective)

Mike Niles right. Any kind of retribution could be worse than the false allegations.
However if the world around here finds out he is a snitch and it ruins his social life
then so be it.

OG,

I should let you borrow my '94 Airport Beater Nissan Sentra for a while. You can tell your neighbor it's your new car....That sucks, man.

Actually, I think he is one of the "operatives" employed by the very active Crimes Against 993TT Society, who are very active against all who pull such stunts as abandoning a 993TT for a GT3 waterpumper. They are EVERYWHERE!

Where I come from, the next thing we would introduce this guy to woulde be our very expensive collection of target pistols!
