Jim,

IMO I would go with #2 or 3. Because it sounds like if we do #1 which was originally planned would be nice if we had a smaller crowd. But from the response you've gotten there might be a pretty high number of cars going like
20 or so. Getting all 20 cars to the starting point on time to leave right at 8AM might not happen. Plus, if we take route 1 would we be able to stop along the way to take pictures and socialize a bit or is it pretty much 4hrs of driving straight thru with one pit stop if needed.

I'm up to any of the 3 choices though. Just giving my feedback.

1 sounds best. I can drive Highway 1 any time; I'd like to explore the backroads down there! So... you plan to leave at 8:15 from the meeting spot?

I say we take the option 1. That sounds the best to me....

I'm voting for option #1 as well. I like Highway 1 but i've done it enough times... These backroads sound interesting. Are there a couple of places see along option #1 where we can wait for stragglers and socialize? I don't want to drive all the way straight through. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! Hopefully i'll have a chance to put in my rootwood shifter (finally) and get the car cleaned before then.

I have 5 stop and re-group points along the option 1 route. Of the five, two of these are fueling opps as well.

See you tomorrow.

Rte #1. I'm retired Army, and will be glad to talk to the MPs if needed.

Hey Guys, after reading some more info on the Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd, should we be concerned about the road conditions? Gravel, dirt, holes... Any risks for our low-clearance mean machines? I've never been there, so just asking...

Looks like the group has grown, the Super Bowl ratings are going down the tubes this year. I like the idea of #1 since we will most likely make out way back up Hwy1 after lunch.

Let's do it if we can get it together in the AM.

See you all in the morning.

GT:

No problem with our cars on Furgusson-Nacimienpto Rd. I have done it many times with fairly radical and quite lowered cars.

When I informed Ft. Hunter Liggett about our group (their request from past experience), I asked about the road and was told it is in good shape !

See you in the AM !

Hey Northern guys & gals......

Wishing you great weather, and a safe and fun drive today. Please take lots and lots of pics for all to see including a group shot like ours from last December...
