Not yet. The shop is always good about calling me, but I will check Friday. When I do, I will post the part number.

The shop ordered the updated part last week from Porsche Germany. No part number to give you yet. They will let me know when it comes in.

I did the Jeff96-933 update and also the KKim tie wrap just to make sure the brass ring stays in place, seems to work. I didn't really drive the car too hard but it seems to be fine. As far as more HP, that's questionable. But then again my coupler hose wasn't totally collapsed it's still in pretty good shape.

Don et al: they will call me when it comes in. Given that they said it has to come from Germany through Porsche's distribution system, Weinachtsferien und so wei, I doubt we will see it before January. Y'all will be the first to know.

Pete,
I found the tubing at a hobby shop (RC cars/planes)... you can try there, or send me a PM with your address and I'll ship you one.
If you buy the tubing yourself, make sure you also have a tubing cutter small enough to handle the size.

Has anyone written a DIY on the replacement of this part. It's been so long since I read this thread that I've forgotten if there is one in here, but I don't think so.

Its pretty easy. Reach in behind blower with left hand. Pull out all three tubes that go into it (friction fit). Pull the splitter off its nipple, and its in your hand. Re-assemble in reverse.
The splitter is easy to find - it has that "squashed" feel to it! Mine was totally collapsed. I don't know how that was affecting the varioram valves, because they still seemed to be working properly when tested, but fixing the splitter certainly can't hurt! Thanks to Jeff for the brass reinforcing ring.
