Looks good if installed well. Did it myself on one of my cars and even with my most meticulous work, they looked ****e.
Unless you are very good with precision tasks, I'd let a pro install them. I did and they do work.

Put them on an Adventurine Green car years ago, and glad I did. From 10 ft. away you can't tell it's on the car.
Yes, make sure that somebody who knows what they're doing installs them.

I just had ArmourFend installed on my Guards Red car. I'm extremely pleased with the results. This brand of 3M film is cut to wrap around edges rather then just shy of edges, so it looks great. In places where there was a good deal of road rash, it actually makes it disappear to a large extent. As others have said, it's crucial to get it installed by a professional. I had mine done by PaintShield in Wixom, Michigan. Highly recommended. They have some sort of computer-guided cutting machine that cuts the film right there in the shop. They even had the right templates for my RS splitters.

I've see the Xpel/Stone Guard/Armourfend on a dark blue car and it looked great. It wasn't 100% invisible up close but, from fifteen feet away, you couldn't see the transition. Lots of threads on this in the archives, so try a search. As the others have said, get a pro to do it unless you think you're going to be a natural at installing this tricky-to-handle material or can tolerate looking at your misalignments, creases or uneveness. I have it on my car and would do it again in a second.

Since most of the products are the same 3M material be sure and shop all the brands. I ended up using Invincea shield...they wanted about half what expel wanted and the results were great.
PS As I have no patience and hate to go slow the $40 installation charge was more than fair.

I have Stongard on my Iris Blue car and you can hardly notice it. It has been replaced once ( on hood and bummper) due to hitting an object dropped from a truck on the freeway...Stongard took the hit and got torn but paint below had not a scratch. I wouldn't be without it and have had it for almost 4 years and car looks terrific.

Gary,
I whole-heartedly second your recommendation on the Llumar Film. Here's my thread on what I did with my RUF. I'm very happy with the results.
