RUF Clear Bra, Concours, Enzo (Pics)
Hi,
I finally had the LLumnar Film clear bra installed on the RUF. The coverage extended to the entire hood, the turboS bumper, and the RS splitter below. The installer had a custom piece that he ordered from Germany that covered the entire bumper with no seams. He had to put a seam on the splitter though.
I do not want a horizontal line across the hood of my black car, thus I designed a custom piece that covered the entire hood with a vertical seam length-wise, in-line with the radio antenna. He did an excellent job. Today, the clear bra installer used the RUF as one of his displays at the Palo Alto Concourse, so I detailed the car for the show. A lot of people at the show could not believe that the hood was fully protected. No bubbles, no horizontal seams. Please see for yourself.
I have a few pics with the car in pretty spiffy condition as well.
Unfortunately I had to be at the A's/Giant's game today so I basically missed the Concours. I get there by 5:15 pm to reclaim my RUF and there was an Enzo just leaving the premise. I quickly snapped a few pics for your pleasure. I did get one with both my RUF and the Enzo in the same frame. Someone told me that there was a CGT besides the Enzo during the day as well. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, the CGT was long gone.
I still cannot upload multiple pictures on one thread, so please bear with me. Here are some pictures of the car, the clear bra, and the Enzo. Enjoy.

Hey CP - saw your car today at the PA concours - wondered why you were nowhere to be seen!
Anyway - got some p-car photos myself. Apologies for the little guy getting in the way - he seems to be in every photo I took
Here's the engine bay of a 959...

Pat,
Believe me, I'd much rather be at the Concours instead of the baseball game. Unfortunately, I need to host an out-of-town group in the owner's box for the afternoon, and there's no way I could dodge that. My loss. I hope you enjoyed the show. BTW, you little pride and joy had grown a bit since I last saw him at Carlsen's Porsche, and then Carmel.
OG, I went to a detailer, they did the outside and leather-treated the entire interior. The car looked great, all shiny and stuff. The problem was the concours was on a grass field, and the black car soon gathered a fine coating of brown dust. Oh well.
The best thing about the clear bra is the peace of mind. Now I can drive it as much as I want and not worry about the rock chips, and believe me, I have tons of pock marks in just 4 months.

CP-
I hate seeing those pics of your car. Once again to think that is the car that got away. She is looking AWESOME!!! To this date everything I look at i compare to that car, nothing has matched it yet. Of course i haven't seen a GT in person so that is the reasoning.

Sorry to open old wounds, but your loss is my gain on this one. I LUUUV the RUF.
Good luck with your hunt.
