Glad to see this... I must have missed a post along the way but from previous pictures I had convinced myself that you were going with green leather for the seat bolsters/backrest top.

Maybe that was Chucks pic of his interior.

I had re-covered a number of things in black alcantara a few years back (left a few things black leather/vinyl for some contrast). So the pieces above will all be black alcantara. The seat centers will be tartan shown above.

I’m reusing the outermost perimeter leather from the Recaros (that part is leather, all other parts are vinyl) as the edges of the bolsters are a high-wear item. I think the pebble grained leather will stand up to wear/tear much better than the alcantara.

That's a good call on the bolsters. I would think that alcantara would wear a lot like suede and get matted easily. Car looks great. Looking forward to how this turns out.

No, it was this picture you posted. I assumed that the color swatch draped over the bolster was the leather color you were going with.

I do love Chuck's cedar interior though....

Ah, gotcha. No that's some door strap material but it's too blue. Thought it was a close match to the paint but no dice.

Well today was exciting!!!

Put the seat backs and latches/cables all back together (what a nightmare!!) and put the bottoms on there as well (even though they need to come off when I do the bottom covers). Had to mock these up so I could get a good idea of how they'll look when finished. So happy with them!!

I had not realized that the shape of the Recaro Sportster seat backs were so amazing until seeing these pics of them painted. Wow.
