A decade ago, I had a wizard car electrician in Israel wire up a remote central locking device to perform the following (in addition to locking/unlocking the doors, of course):
1. close the windows and sunroof
2. switch on the headlights, until one turns the key in the ignition.
3. arm the alarm automatically, should one forget.
Unfortunately, the windows no longer wind all the way up using the remote, and the electrician is no longer around to fix it. Any suggestions? It was great while it worked - luckily, the central locking part still works flawlessly.

Sounds like pretty much any brand can be used for basic lock/unlock function. However, do you know if anything is available for more sophisticated functions such as starter kill, windows, remote start, etc that has been used in a 993?
I'll be doing some searching, but don't want to re-invent the wheel if you guys know of something great already.

I'd be interested to learn about the sunroof close option. That would be a HUGE help since I always get out of the car, lock it, then realize the damn sunroof is still open
Does anyone have any info on how to do that?

Keyless entry Lock Control Module Guru's i have a question for you...
I'm in the middle of installing Tore's T-Lock kit but im jammed up and the car is apart in the garage... Hes sleeping since its 1am in Oslo so maybe you guys can shed some light on the situation...
all is well, except for some confusion regarding the Positive Lead. He says to tap into RED (+) wire at pin one. My pin 1 is Red with yellow, pin 2 is brown ground (checks) and pin THREE is solid RED.
when i use the volt meter i get good volts with the car off at both Pin 1 and Pin 3. im not sure which wire to use, anyone?
details:
95 C2 with Yellow control box

Both red and red/yellow wires are connected to Terminal 30 which is permanent 12V. The red/yellow wire is unfused, and the red is routed through fuse 12. You could use either of these for power supply to the T-Lock unit since it has it's own fuse.
There seem to be a lot of wiring variants in the 993 depending on market, and I've updated the T-Lock installation manual. Thanks!
Cheers,
Tore

Tore, thank you for the support. I went with Pin 3 for the power (just red)
installation was very easy, the system works very smoothly, love the remotes, they dont feel like cheap junk, they have some weight to them and are not obtrusive. Total time working on the car was prob under an hour. I like how the parking lights blink too. Very nice, very clean kit. I will post more detailed installation photos on the T-Lock specific thread. another happy customer.

Finally got around to finishing my install. I also didn't have to remove the passenger seat...nor could I because the previous owner had stripped one of the 6mm allen wrench socket heads.
As a few others discovered my '95 was not wired in the same manner as most. I have the Green label ending in "02" on my control box, and it was the Blue/White and Green/White wires that control the lock/unlock.
Works great though...wished I'd have had time to do this sooner.
Thanks to all who posted info. here - made for an easier time figuring our what to do.

This thread is extremely helpful (or will be once I tackle this). Since our cars can really only perform the unlock/lock function, the remotes out there with 3, 4 and 5 keys appear aesthetically off-putting and always have the need for another thing on the keychain. Does anyone have any idea whether we could use reprogram one of the following keys or key heads to speak with our aftermarket opener units?

Thanks @ Tore, the install was simple, the instructions good and the whole thing works like a charm. I'll now add rubber bands to the remote as they keep going off in my pocket.
That said, has anyone any idea about my question one post up? I'd love to create a remote that fits into that key. I don't know much about it this, but would assume that whatever came in those keys can't be reprogrammed to talk to T-Lock. But perhaps a generic remote could fit into the Porsche key?

It has been a while and I wanted to do this for my 95. Anyone have any updated remote systems they are using? Most of the ones listed here are no longer available.

I'd just wait for Tore to get his product back in stock, things go into and out of stock at his web store pretty frequently. Very high quality with easy instructions. I don't know if I'd trust some random Amazon or eBay seller to touch the electrical system of my car. Until then it really isn't all that hard to use the key.
