Public Service Announcement - Arena Red 993
The below car is my old 993. I sold it a few months ago to a private buyer for a fraction of the current asking price. The car was involved in a significant frontal impact at sometime in its life but somehow has continued on with a clean car fax and has been passed along to unsuspecting buyers for some time. I bought the car almost 3 years ago after a PPI that failed to recognize signs of accident and repair to the front clip. Had no idea it had been in an accident until I received the car and my local air cooled mechanic looked the car over.

I have attached my original for sale ad on this forum from a few months ago below. After spending a lot of money to make the car right I had to wave the white flag and cut my losses, which were significant.

Hoping this saves someone some stress, time, and money. Thanks.

Run Forest Ruuuuunnnnnnnnn!!! I’ve heard nothing but bad things about them. Again like we all have said “Buy the Seller” not just the car!

Sorry to say this OP but that car has obvious front end damage just looking at the BHCC pics. Front trunk is sprayed in full color when the factory trunk finish is a primer base that shows through a mist of body color -- very hard to replicate and always a dead giveaway. The fit of the hood front edge is bad, the hood gasket fit is bad, the black plastic trim piece is missing in the front of the trunk aperture, the routing of the hood light wiring and windshield washer tubing from the hood to the cowl is all wrong, and the front a-arms are shiny clean silver instead of the crusty brown cosmoline finish that was sprayed on at the factory. All of it screams major front end collision. That your PPI mechanic didn't notice any of this is borderline criminal. I'm sorry.

Having said all that if the accident was not recent and the car aligns well and had otherwise been inspected by a third party, I don’t see any problem with a vehicle that has had an accident.
There is a significant problem with an undisclosed accident or one that has not been properly repaired.

Sad to see someone trying to flip it for more $$$.

I'm sorry that this situation occurred and fully respect how you divulged the issues at sale time. Knowing the car business like the back of my hand. These guys stock inventory that generally what other dealers will have no part with. Frankly, the reputable guys just don't want the heat and will wholesale or "off "these types of situations without even thinking twice. Hope you have better days ahead and can share those with us.
