Outstanding! As an aside, I retired from AMP Incorporated just before the TYCO take-over but was associated with the Communications side rather than the Automotive. The plug for that receptacle looks identical to the one already installed. In many instances, depending on the customer, certain connectors were restricted. If you can identify the manufacturer of the Immobilizer Module, I'll see if I can check with some of my sources to identify and determine the availability. Send me a PM if you do.

Wow, what a coincidence. The body of the plug on the right looks to be the same as the one on the left but the pins are a different pitch. Regardless, the 3 port receptacle is a single component made by AMP. I see no mfg name on the board, just “ Made in Australia”. I recall in my research coming across the name of a mfg but can’t remember where. Need some help. Would be really nice to make this as plug- and- play as possible. Thanks NC.

Not true, only proves the guy who stole it is over 50 years old!

Not sure what it's used for - nothing's plugged into it on my car and the schematics make no reference to it. Maybe a factory test jack?

One of the goals will be to make the mod as DIY friendly as possible, so if anyone has a lead on the part number and/or source for them it would be a big help. (An immobilizer schematic would be nice too!)
I wonder if the pins can be purchased from TE for the middle connector that is unused. If available it could be populated for the same purpose and in doing this there is no need to repurpose the right-hand socket.
Having all the active components external to the unit would make the upgrade completely reversible by simply unplugging it. Then again if the fix turns out to be reliable why would anyone bother to reverse it? KInd'a like replacing the anti-theft wheel nuts with standard ones, why go back?
