Outstanding! As an aside, I retired from AMP Incorporated just before the TYCO take-over but was associated with the Communications side rather than the Automotive. The plug for that receptacle looks identical to the one already installed. In many instances, depending on the customer, certain connectors were restricted. If you can identify the manufacturer of the Immobilizer Module, I'll see if I can check with some of my sources to identify and determine the availability. Send me a PM if you do.

Andy - the current prototype mounts inside the immo box but there's a chance the receptacle on the right side of the pic below can be used to mount the "demob" module. The receptacle says "AMP" on it (now TE Connectivity), but there are no other visible part numbers. Not sure what it's used for - nothing's plugged into it on my car and the schematics make no reference to it. Maybe a factory test jack?
One of the goals will be to make the mod as DIY friendly as possible, so if anyone has a lead on the part number and/or source for them it would be a big help. (An immobilizer schematic would be nice too!)

Having all the active components external to the unit would make the upgrade completely reversible by simply unplugging it. Then again if the fix turns out to be reliable why would anyone bother to reverse it? KInd'a like replacing the anti-theft wheel nuts with standard ones, why go back?
