Lightbulb Fender side marker light

Hello 993 owners, I've added euro style fender marker lights and am having trouble locating where the connectors are located on the factory harness. I've installed the harness leading through the fender mounting bulkhead to the inside of the car. I've read threads saying that all U.S. cars have the connectors built into the main wire harness and are wrapped/ tied off somewhere near the hood lift supports. Any help would be great!

Are you saying you drilled into your fenders and mounted the side markers BEFORE knowing if there was a harness to connect to? You are a daring soul.

Default Fender side marker

Yes, I drilled the holes and if I can't locate the factory connectors, I'll use a 510 relay to get the result needed. Thanks for your reply.

The location is on the electrical diagrams, in the frunk near the side walls under the cowl left & right sides

Thanks for your input. I let Porsche of Omaha have a crack at locating the connectors and they came up empty! Porsche North American says all U.S. production 911 have the connectors built into the factory harness from 1986 through 1998. Anyone out there with a 993 built for the euro market and having side markers would be able to visually see where the male connectors come off the main harness. I realize I've set myself up for a lot of criticism and appreciate the forums kindness.

Don't worry about the criticism.... it is your 993 and mod it with what makes you happy. No doubt someone will chime in with an answer. When you have a moment, post some photos.

This is another one on my "to do list"

Can you share pics? What light did you use?
When I search, I can only find generic parts.

Like Chuck said, its your 993 do as you wish...
Thanks,

Thanks Chuck, It's people like yourself and others who've replied that make this a great place to share everything Porsche. I'm finishing assembly of my car after a repaint and plan to post several photos by the end of the week.

Hello, I purchased the side marker harness's from RUF at 130.81 EUR including shipping. RUF # 91161217702 and were much cheaper that quoted in the states. Drill location was made off a euro 964 fender. I used a uni - bit for drilling both holes. Used a fine file to dress holes edges. I would highly recommend, go slow and check and re-check. Pictures are forthcoming. Thanks for your kind remarks and let me know if I can help with future mod.
