Maybe it is not, although if im calculating right based on that price sheet, a set of 18x11/18.8.5 roughly comes out to $3600 USD. 10% off that is $360, and thats considerable.
If I need to go just order outright directly, thats ok. I appreciate you wanting to help organize this, but for sure if its a headache, I would not want that for you.
hello everyone, not sure if this is still happening. Either way I reached out to Tramont and sharing some updated information I received last night. They quoted me the following prices for NB fitment. For added knowledge, I inquired about 18x10.5 rim vs a 10, and the lips are the same size. I was hoping it would be as big as the 11" version. After much debating, I have opted to go with the following specs for my NB C2 with black brakes I recently purchased. My car will strictly be a street vehicle. I feel this is the best middle ground between looks and still be functional for a street car
- 8,5 x 18 ET 42 front : 719,20 € unit price (2" outer rim -225 40 18)
- 10 x 18 ET 58 rear : 775,80 € unit price (2,5" outer rim - 275 35 18)
Shipping is 770 plus duty fees.. not sure how much they are.. I believe around 150 USD. I am in Northern Virginia. This comes out to $4252 USD before duty tax.
I plan to run Michelin Pilot Sports in the sizes listed.
For the front offsets, the main difference between a 42 vs anything higher, is you get 2 inch lip vs 1.5 which I feel looks better like P-daddy's yellow 993. Also the slight difference between the 2 offsets in the rear (58 vs 59) is also a half inch in diameter which is crazy given its 1 MM difference with the exact same rim width.
One last note, some time ago, a friend who is on this board, Rich_Pugh ran 18x11s on this NB Iris Blue 993. It can be done, but it takes some work. I think this set up would look awesome on our cars given that you gain 1 entire inch on lip size compared to 10" ET 58. My main question would be what offset? I would say at least ET 60. But to me this is too much of a gamble and I rather stay within the safe zone as it is my first aftermarket wheel set up for my 993.

JMO but base on years of fitting wheels an tires on these cars
some things i note re your proposed set up
while 235/40 & 275/35 x18 can be used the tire height is going to rob you of torque for acceleration compared to a 265/35 or a 285/30
best I've ever used is 245/35 on 8.5ET54 and 285/30 on 10ET65, these can be used at any ride height w/ only minor fiddling on the left rear, funny thing the factory spent years honing the wheel/tire sets on the Cup cars and they cam up w/ the same setup though on slicks
the tire width and height are particularly crucial to the ET needed, for instance I used 9 ET50 w/ a 225/40 x18 tire for a while. The tread width of any tire is fixed, the side wall cross sectional width is stretched and the side wall is stiffened by increasing wheel width, the 225/on the 9 performed no better than the 225 on an 8.5( i.e. too wide is as bad as too narrow, though the design spec for this tire is 7.5 to 9.0), the 225 on 8.5 performed better than the 225 on an 8, The 225 on 9 limited ride height and a wider tire could not be fitted due to that issue
the ET is set by the hub design and the lips, for the front of a 993, there is a max of ~69mm of front space w/ limiting ride height, max back space is ~177mm though at the max you will get rubbing on the inner fender wall at full lock
in back max f/s is ~80mm and max b/s is ~184mm, the fenders can be massaged a bit for clearance but the inner side is a pretty hard limit, more limited in the right inner than the left, similarly the left outer is more limited than the right outer
suspension travel should also be considered a stock suspension needs more clearance than a stiff aftermarket one
