He can do just about any color combination. I purchased a variety of Black Leather + Racing Yellow stitching stuff that I could not get from the factory before my spec was locked... Now I have them

I'd love to have my steering wheel column done in GT Silver stitching, but I assume it would be too much work to install now that the car is built. I thought the option was a little superfluous when I spec'd my car originally, but after seeing it on other cars after my order locked, I thought it looked very tasteful.

Sucks that the old thread got axed... there was some good info in there. Assume we can still search it but not post in it?

Just got a quote for PPF (hood, fenders, bumper, rear fenders) and tint.

$6,000.

Is this even close to being reasonable?

I paid $6,500 (CAD) for the dealership to install full body PPF, full tint including windshield, and matte PPF to the PCM screen. I also had independent shops quote me as high as $9,000 (CAD), so your $6,000 USD quote isn't too far off really.

On a related note, has anyone here PPF'd their windshields and headlights? The dealership wouldn't PPF the headlights because it could remove the factory coating on the headlights if/when the PPF was removed, and they hadn't even heard of windshields being PPF'd. I have a shop here in Toronto that does Porsche's all the time, and they have a film that has very little glue on the backing, that they say is best to use on the headlights.

I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who's done their headlights and windshields.

I received a quote recently from my dealer for $2800 for full front. When I asked about getting the "track pack" (side skirts, rear fenders, etc.), it was an extra $400 or $600... I don't recall exactly. I thought that was a decent deal and went for it.

For your reference.
I did full hood, full fender, headlight, mirror and extended rocker (side skirt, lower door and extended to the hip) including removal for the existing OEM shark fin, for $ 3000 (Xpel Ultimate Plus).
For the tint I used different vendor and paid $600 for Llumar IRX (no windshield). All in $3600 for both PPF & tint.

I did that kit with partial front (had them leave the OEM shark fin on, needs all the protection it can get) and 4-yr Ceramic for $3149.

I’m in NYC metro (expensive location) and got quotes $3.K to $4.5K for 12 mil PPF front bumper, hood and fenders. Kept calling around and found shop owner I clicked with. Paid $1,500…so recommend keep shopping.

On another note, finally bought one of these
things to clean rear window. Also recommend. Cheap and worth every penny!

I noticed my T has perpetually "filmed" inside front (and rear) glass. Does this happen on all 992's or a function of the leather dash glue only? Only had for 7 months, but I'd say I get maybe a week or two before having to contort myself to clean inside. Also just woke up to a spidered corner of the driver's window... Headed to the shop tomorrow for them to take pictures and order a driver's door glass. Otherwise, this thing is fantastic!
