I optioned mine at $147k with 19 20 wheels. I think it is a fast car for the street and makes the S superfluous. I was reading that no matter how fast a car is we always want more even when it might make 700+ power. I have a 997.2 which I love but wanted a newer car even though mine is like new but because I am getting older so why wait. I hope I like the newer as much.

I am biased as a 997.2 owner, but I feel it may have been the gold standard for water cooled non-GT 911s.

Default Production of my 992.2 Cabrio is underway!

Excited I ordered a base cabriolet in chalk red and black interior new 911 wheels and many many options. I have a 2021 boxster now.

Make sure to ask your dealer to look at their backend it has better info than the myporsche system. They did tell me that usually w new releases they get delayed by 1 to 3 months but this is encouraging that production started already. Good luck to everyone waiting on your new babies!

Note: Added image from dealer system below.

Dealer system with better estimates for delivery and each stage. Make sure to ask dealer for this level of info. Better than the app.
UPDATE: 6/20/2024 —> Production of my car is complete! Just got an email with the update and see it online now. Wow that was fast!

The automotive press is in Spain driving them this week.

They will get held upon arrival to U.S. ports as the EPA certification will have to be released prior to shipping to dealers.

How many negative/neutral reviews will come out? ZERO. Cause if you do, you'll never be invited again.

Not even remotely true. So long as it is constructive criticism and not outright slander auto manufactures do not get that bent out of shape.

I just want to triple confirm this is accurate? I got moved to Step 2 yesterday and my dealer never mentioned the freeze date so I was surprised (mostly pleasantly surprised). I need to make one small change and wondering if at stage 2:

A) changes are still possible despite "freeze" date being reached
B) will changes cause delays

Step 3 = “FIXED” “V250” which equals the hard freeze. No changes can be made once Step 3 is reached. A VIN is also assigned to the build at Step 3.

Yes, changes can be made during step two. I have done so myself. Act fast though!

It all depends what you plan to change? Something small, you won’t see any delay. Something that is related to Exclusive Manufaktur might get your build delayed. It’s really a game of Russian roulette.

Thanks only thing I want to change is speccing a glass sunroof - hopefully that's not a big deal

That should not delay your build given the modular roof design (see attachment).

Just a friendly FYI, but you are aware of the wind buffeting issues with the 992 sunroofs, correct?

Do you mean when the sunroof is tilted up? If so, that's actually why I want to switch to the glass because I intend to always keep the roof closed but want more light in at night

At first I didn't want the black contrast roof but now I prefer the flexibility (no pun intended) of the glassroof.

Buffeting issue occurs when it is fully open.

Quick Reply: Got a 992.2 allocation
