I just ordered a 2025 Cayenne Coupe S Hybrid and have my Commission number. Different vehicle of course, made in a different factory (Slovakia!), but it gives you an idea of timelines..

My Lock date is June 30th, the factory completion date is Aug 18th, and estimated arrival at dealership is October16th. (and I'm not holding my breath for accuracy of those dates).

You get a commission number with a demand order V070. May or may not ever turn into a car

Commission number and V200 is a buildable allocation…you’re getting a car

Doesn't sound like you have an allocation if they told you 18-24 months. Ask for a build sheet and if it shows V200 status you have an allocation, if it shows V070 all that means is that the dealer entered the order into some computer system and you will only get a allocation when the dealer choses to give you one.

I got the allocation call last Thursday (5/30/24) and accepted it first thing Friday along with a build and had a Commission number and made a deposit on Tuesday.

Correct. Commission number is generated with a v070 which is not an actual allocation; it's an order demand.

I'd be curious if anyone actually has a v200 true buildable allocation.
