On the porsche website or app their is a section where you need to click "E-mail Notifications" then you should receive an email each time you move to the next step. This is within the My Porsche section if you click on the car image. I have been receiving emails for each step.

I've had that checked since the beginning, but not getting email updates. Odd some of us get email updates, while others don't. Again, checked and nothing in spam.

I just went to step 3 on July 3rd. Hoping to move on to the production step this week.

I got an email that was sent 1AM EST this morning. It took the app until 10AM to update to show the new status. The TYD website still shows step 2.

@bleffler If its any consolation the email does not contain anything that is not displayed in the app. It gives us something to do each day as we wait for our delivery. First thing I do each morning is to see if I've moved to the next step!

From my SA

I asked my SA to screenshot what their system says about my order… Looks like end of September for me

992.2 C2. Recently moved to step 2. Below are the estimated dates provided along with the v200 when I placed the order early last month, but will reconfirm once I get assigned a VIN at step 3.

7/9 - Freeze Date
8/29 - Production Date
10/18 - Delivery Date

Fingers crossed it comes sooner than October!

This is just a general question. Does Porsche corporate make dealerships hold on to their first 992.2 allocation for a month before releasing to the customer since this is the first one they are getting in or is this more of an individual dealership rule?

My SA did tell me that Porsche could hold up the cars before allowing them to release the cars to customers. Forgot what the exact reasoning was.

On a side note, I wonder if tnieh's car is on a boat already

Thank you for the quick reply. I’m not in any rush, but I never heard of that with car sales before. Thank you.

No updates from the port for me still there since 7/24. A buddy of mine had a 992.1 that sat at the port for like 3 weeks and it was on the 7/26 boat. I am hoping for the 7/13 or 7/23 boats that are heading to east coast which puts me in Jax in late July or early August and means I’d hopefully get it on August at some point (I’m on ATL). I just checked and news is reporting more strikes at German ports so more delays are likely. (“Emden are scheduled to strike during the first and second shifts on 10 July.”) please just work port workers… and pay them what they want port owners…we have cars that need driving!

Base car allocation rec'vd, freeze date 8/27, October build. Now to decide color: Ice Grey with Aerokit? Or Gentian blue, or Carmine, both with no Aero....thinking.
