Its a C2. Debated on waiting to see what might come with the S, but the allocation was there and I could get the car quickly. Always thought I would get an S or GTS but decided to option out the C2. Hope I'm happy with it!

Wondering if anyone with a 2025 allocation has actually had their tracker show them make it past step 1? I'll send update one i start to progress......

I got my commission number and V200 on a 2025 C2 when I put my deposit down over two weeks ago. At that time, I was told by my dealer my lock date was the first week of June, with August delivery. Subsequently, I was told the lock date had slipped to June 11. That date has now passed but app still doesn't show me in step 2 (You have reached the Change Freeze Point). When I look at my order information tracking in Porsche app, it shows me in step 1 - May 6, 2024 "Your purchase order has been confirmed", and when i drill into discover all steps, it shows not scheduled for all the other steps.

Do we think the 992.2 base with sport chrono will feel roughly equivalent power wise to the 991.1S? Prices are getting out of control and I'm wondering if a well optioned base at 143k will be "enough" power for daily driving.

If you have concerns, I suggest you schedule a PEC session or the 2 day Porsche Driving Experience and drive the s$#% out of 992 base when available probably in about 60-90 days. Then make a decision. Short trip from Nashville down to Atlanta PEC.

My 992.2 started production estimated delivery 8/5/2024
I got on the waitlist in April 2023 for the 992.2 and the day after announcement my dealer contacted me and I configured that day and it started production yesterday 6/17 from the dealers internal system says 8/5 delivery with range of 7/19 to 8/30. Excited I ordered a base cabriolet in chalk red and black interior new 911 wheels and many many options. I have a 2021 boxster now.
Make sure to ask your dealer to look at their backend it has better info than the myporsche system. They did tell me that usually w new releases they get delayed by 1 to 3 months but this is encouraging that production started already. Good luck to everyone waiting on your new babies!
Note: Added image from dealer system below.
Dealer system with better estimates for delivery and each stage. Make sure to ask dealer for this level of info. Better than the app.

@Fullyield I love that idea but I'm not sure if PEC Atlanta gets base cars. I think they only have the S and beyond but maybe they'll get the new one?

Jealous! Sadly, no movement on my end. I'll probably reach out to my sales rep to see what's going on!
