You're probably one of the first to have one stateside! Keep us posted if it actually moves from the port any time soon. I've been checking the EPA site (https://dis.epa.gov/otaqpub/publist1.jsp) and there is still not approval for the 2025 models. Based on what others have said it may get stalled there until the emissions certificate of conformity is granted.

Thanks for that link. At least I can keep checking for 2025 certs. My dealer said w new releases there may be more time with PDI at the port but I believe the wait is for EPA. I did see on Porsche site that there are 2025s listed for sale but with August, sept and Oct “available” dates. I hope it is soon I’d love to get my new ride ASAP!

At least you are in a none CARB state...EPA Cert. should happen sooner. Congratulations!

Like tnieh, I am at a port, Baltimore, where TYD says my 992.2 base Carrera has been since July 30th having left Emden on July 16th. I live in Chicago. Until now everything moved really fast. My SA says it shows up as "administrative hold" on his screen but does not know what that means. EPA certification or has Porsche not actually released the cars to the public yet? (Last thought is just my guess, 1st time 911 buyer, and I am new to this experience.) Updates and thoughts from others welcome. Great forum you all run here.

My dealer confirmed this morning that the EPA is still in process and he expects to have more details next week but expects that I should have it in the next 2 weeks so let’s assume late August. We will see and I will keep you all updated. I do keep checking the EPA site (https://dis.epa.gov/otaqpub/publist1.jsp) but still only Tycans for 2025 Porsches where 2024 has 911s and all others. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they get these approvals ASAP.

wow that’s great!!! Are you in the US? I just received a text from my SA today 8/8 he said in the next 2 weeks the GTS allocations will be available in the US, for customers with desirable trades at their dealership with no ADM. Not sure I’m totally committed to the .2 GTS, not so sure I want to trade my .1 Lava GTS. Maybe.

Not to raise too many red flags here but with the 992 initial release dealers said "2 weeks" for over 2 months. Really hopeful it doesn't drag out again but given its a new powertrain you can expect the epa process isn't going to be overly quick. Dealt with it with a bmw M5 as well that got stuck for over a month waiting. I think there is somebody in that department of the EPA who has something against ze germans.

I got an allocation for a base Carrera on 6/29/2024. The app showed step 1 until this morning, 8/09/2024, when it flipped to step 2. The interesting thing is that the date listed as my lock date is 7/25/2024 (over 2 weeks ago) and I never had any notification of a lock date prior to this morning. Luckily I'm happy with my build, but it would have been nice to know when I would be locked out. That being said, I'm just happy to see that I've made it to step 2. The dealer said that I should probably be able to take deliver in late October.

Common. Lock dates are estimates. My SA warned me about it when I ordered my 992S in 2022 and, sure enough, I was also locked out 1-2 weeks before the given lock date. But, at least I was warned beforehand and expected it.

My SA warned me that it could happen too, I was just expecting to see "A" lock date, but I never got one until this morning... and it was 2 weeks in the past lol. There goes my hail Mary for a paint to sample allocation Haha!

None of us with 992.2 on order have the TYD working correctly. it SHOULD show the milestone dates in the future(lock, build started etc etc) but it only shows the dates once you actually hit them.
