Default How many hours charged for Dealer 992 oil change?

I have a base 2022 Carrera. I would like to know what your dealer's are charging for labor (hours and rate) for an oil change only.

I don't know but I've heard $350-700. I do it at my house for $72 in parts (using the correct oil, filter and new plug) and an hour of my time that absolutely no dealer technician will spend changing oil on a 911. I keep the drain open for at least half an hour to get the old oil out.

Where are you getting the oil and filter for ~$65? I am at about $10/qt and another $30 for the filter = roughly $130 by the time I add a new plug.

Bro stop lying.

Oil alone is 9 quarts at $10-$11 a quart

I'm in the parts business and have a direct account with a large Mobil distributor - just over $6 a quart. Mahle oil filter costs me $8. An Elring plug costs $2. Parts business is still profitable despite a few of the large dotcom types screwing up things. I don't mind them selling at low prices. I don't like when they sell at or below wholesale prices just because they're still earning a margin.

Bro I don't need to lie. The only people lying are the dealers.

And almost a year ago I posted somewhere here that if anyone wants the parts for a low price I'd be willing to help. Oil changes should not be hundreds of dollars.

My 2 year service was like 2k which felt like a rip off 😅

I understand they have to make a living but like so many other things we accept as fact these days, things are out of control.

My Alfa dealership charges 200 for an oil change. Can't wait for the Porsche experience.
Don't want to change my own oil though.

At list price plus tax, there's about $200 in parts. I've heard $350 to $700 so $150 to $500 labor.

I have the 2.0. Was going to upgrade to the qv but ordered a 911 instead. Their labor rate is 350/h though. Ridiculous.
