I had to look at my invoices to see the break down. The dealer usually quotes a 'package price' for service intervals as it is usually cheaper than a la carte.
In 2023 for my 2018 GT3, 'Sports car' oil change (that is how it is labled) was $430.82 ($185.82 parts = $83.05 for filter, and $78 for 8 liters oil + 4 seal rings) + $240 and change for labor. This year oil change was done as part of the 12000 mile 'package' but the breakdown was about the same, only difference was the filter cost $97.17 but oil and rings were the same price.
In 2020, the same oil change cost me $270.40 ($160 for labor and $120.40 for parts ($45.74 for filter, $52 for oil, plus the rings). I had not really thought about the inflation, but wow.
This is at Porsche North Scottsdale. The only variable between generations will be the filter cost, and I doubt the 992 would have a more expensive filter than the GT3. Factor in the loaner (they used to charge $20 and now $30, but gas is 'free'), and I let them wash my car (I am OK with it), it seems reasonable to me.
As a data point on the cynicism and rot of PCNA maintenance pricing, look at the PSMP pricing from another thread: GT3 pricing for what's essentially an oil change is 80% more than a lowly 911. "Whatever the market will bear", I guess.
I just looked on my invoice from the dealer last month for the 2 year service, and they'd don't list the labor hours either. It's like others have stated, the tech basically makes a flat fee for the service performed. Whether they get it done is 45 mins or 2 hours, they get paid the same for the annual service.
The labor rate from May 2023 was $225/hr though.
Can I ask what items in addition to the oil change and the total labor was?
@Michael T you've asked the same question five times. What problem are you trying to solve?
@Michael T is a possible Troll?? Answers to most of his questions are readily available in his 911 Maintenance Book. I would suggest that he reads the documentation he received when purchasing the car...... Or as @jlegelis has asked: What problem are you trying to solve?
Lot's of folks here willing to help, IF you do a little homework on your own. And be more forth coming on your actual issue.
Edit: for reference: the Local Porsche Dealer(s) in my area charge from ~$375 to $475 for an Oil Change. I am a DYI, and yes I buy the Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP X3 at AutoZone for $6 per quart with there online deals.... So under $70 for the Oil Change Parts
