The 992.2 sports design package is a gamble - looks wise - especially for the first EU customers that will get the car without seeing it.
From what I've seen of the 992.2, it's easily worth the gamble. Porsche always knows how to make the SportDesign Package desirable, that's how they get buyers to get their wallets out for it.

1) Public Announcement is week 22 - date is 28th of May, Tuesday
2) Allocations have been given of course for the first few months. First allocation and production month is July. Base and GTS - if GTS stays on schedule of course because of T-HEV
Whethere people here beleive it not I have had the option - as many many other cusomers - for a base production in july and August delivery. I would prefer a gts cabrio so i will get an august production car and september delivery. Of course there could be delays on these dates but this is the official schedule.
People that say all this is sceculation have to understand the following: 50k 911 cars are produced yearly. So with production of 992.2 starting in July Porsche must plan and sell 25k cars in 6 months.
In order to do this many months of advance work is required - work is usually done with the dealers i.e the buyers.
If this schedule, production and allocation work is not precisely done then it would be impossible to move 25k cars in 6 months.
The dealers on their part have to sell their allocations to customers. Usually people that will buy a 200k car in a few months prefer to know some basic details
So as you understand the production logistics are much more complicated and specifications and production schedule are set many months in advance.
EU dealers should already have access to their internal configuration so more info can be provided before the launch.

The question is if this is the 520bhp carrera S or the 541 bhp carrea GTS.
Probably it is the GTS since the S is launching next years since it seems they have delay problems with adding the hybrid e-turbo the 3.0L engine - this is of course speculation on my part
