992.2 order - week 8?

An advanced driver on a track would possibly notice it if they were used to driving the Carrera. The Targa has more power and performance than mere mortals have the ability to exploit.
You’ve obviously never driven one and doubtless you never will. Just parroting an entrenched uninformed opinion.

The weight of the mechanism on the Targa makes absolutely no difference at all in normal road performance.

Because most reviewers just repeat the same talking points over and over. Same reason all the reviewers think the 992 GTS is markedly superior to the 992 S.
Watch Savage geese, Redline Reviews, Straight Pipes or Matt Farah if you want real reviews and not the usual rehashed nonsense.

You people parrot this stuff but you’ve never driven one and I can assure you that having owned many 911’s including a Turbo S and a GT3, I do not notice any extra weight while driving the Targa on my normal fast country road runs that I do.
The same idiots who blabber on about the weight of the Targa will often weigh over 100kg themselves, drive it with their wife in it, who is also 100kg and spec a long range tank that they fill up before a drive out. They don’t notice the weight they’re carrying under these circumstances but are quite willing to mindlessly accept that “meh Targa heavy” without even thinking about it. Idiots.

A clown like you does not have the expertise or experience to notice the weight difference in the Targa.

Let that sink in.

Or maybe you can't?
Sincerely,
YOUR CLOWN
P.S. Targa is heavy.

I am not sure how the conversation has turned about the targa weight instead of discussing about the 992.2. Would it be ok to go back on topic and keep it as civilised as possible?

The 992.2 targa will probably be the heaviest 911.

the electric power train will be near pdk and engine will be the actual… they told me 20hp more to 992.1
so you can avoid start and stop system and can do more ecological for Porsche obey…also put to zero the (real near 0 also now) turbo lag
probably little better the efficiency
after last F1 and Rally races I think the hybrid system is good but it will be the definitive issue in the first generations.
after years also today in race, cars are totally blocked not for the ICE but for the electric system, that if goes faulty blocked for safety the entire engine car
i think probably (as usual) first customers will be tester for the 994
