A clown like you does not have the expertise or experience to notice the weight difference in the Targa.
You people parrot this stuff but you’ve never driven one and I can assure you that having owned many 911’s including a Turbo S and a GT3, I do not notice any extra weight while driving the Targa on my normal fast country road runs that I do.
The same idiots who blabber on about the weight of the Targa will often weigh over 100kg themselves, drive it with their wife in it, who is also 100kg and spec a long range tank that they fill up before a drive out. They don’t notice the weight they’re carrying under these circumstances but are quite willing to mindlessly accept that “meh Targa heavy” without even thinking about it. Idiots.

Just my opinion...wait until the second production year. Lots of buzz on the the 992.2 and everyone wants one now but wait and see if the buzz is worth while. Sometimes things are better than they seen or promise to be and sometimes they are not. Why gamble $150K + on an unsure thing. Again, just my opinion.

After Porsche Festival in Misano I had some news about refresh.
992.2 will be presented in Shangai April-may 24
few car in launching days (10 for my dealer)
Here in Italy order open in few months but without configurator and prices
first deliveries in July 2024
carrera s and Gts will be available immediately after presentation
They will be hybrid Hpev so little battery near PDK allocation : dealer told me that they doesn’t expect is more than 3/4 kw to not add more weight … full hybrid not plug in and NO possibility to go for some kilometers in EV mode
Electric motor only for start and low rev
It’s not sure if engine will be a revisited 3.0 biturbo or a 4.0 natural aspirated
I’m a bit concerned but a little more convinced to go for a 992.1 GTS (probably 4)

Porsche is web launching the Macan next week so I guess the 911 should move a bit forward. Optimistically March or April web launch?
And if similar to the last Cayenne then configurator and official sales would be 2 months after and deliveries after 6 months from launch the earliest.
It seems almost certain no 992.2 convertible for me this summer which was my “target” for the 992.2.
