Put in demand orders for GTS build at a few SoCal dealerships less than a month ago. Got offered GTS allocations today from 2 dealerships asking for $30k ADM, one dealership asking for $25kADM, and my preferred dealership asked for $15k. I jumped on it right away. First time Porsche buyer. Definitely thankful for getting the opportunity for a 922.1 build in manual.

I'm curious - from those who've been searching recently - are Targa 4S allocations coming back or are the Targa allocations still heavily GTS?

You probably could have said you had a couple calls with allocations and talked them down to MSRP at worst.

Never know. A buddy was offered a GTS cab this summer. With an adm. He said no. Called back a week later. No adm.

With the expected 6-8% price bump for the next iteration, 15k ain’t no thang when I can lock in that allocation for a 922.1. Plus with Adventurine Green (preferred color) being discontinued or becoming a PTS option next March, I figured I’d bite the bullet now.

I got my allocation for my PTS/Heritage Interior Targa 4S on Saturday from my dealer. I think it has been about 11 months since I put in the request (PTS has been hard to come by). I am assuming this will still be for the 992.1 (2024 model). Haven't got the lock date set yet, finalizing the initial build today / tomorrow.

Ps. I have my 2022 Targa 4S (which I got that allocation pretty fast in 2021) from start to finish only around 6-7 months from allocation to delivery. Had my first 992 (2020) C4S coupe from the same dealer. No ADM on any of the 3 (actually the 2020 - I got a nice discount, before the covid days...)

100% sure about that PTS? PCNA advised our preferred dealer that PTS is sold out for MY24. Maybe yours will be a MY25 992.2?

I ordered Targa GTS PTS in early June 2023. Still no allocation. Have an existing relationship with the dealer, purchased a Macan T in April 2024. I am guessing I will get a 992.2 allocation in Q1 2024.

It’s a ream job either way. Prices have already been jacked up. A GTS isn’t a limited produced car. 3.0 liter downsized engine falling in line with the Chinese. Should be no ADM!!

992.2 Targa GTS? Could be a year out or more.

My dealer called me Sat offering 4S allo/May delv. at MSRP.
Going to wait on .2 as I dont like day olds...
They seemed to have a number of special cars in this round.
Hopefully others got that call to.

I am on 4 dealer's lists for a GTS. From what I hear, even if one gets a GTS allocation, there will be no PTS option until Q2 in 2024. With the expected 992.2 announcement coming in April, the soonest a 992.2 can be ordered will be Q3 2024. By my calculation, the window for a 992.1 GTS that can be ordered with PTS will be part of Q2 and maybe part of Q3 2024. Once the 992.2 starts up, it usually is a year before the GTS variant is offered. By my calculations, that is a Q3 2025 before we see 992.2 GTS models.

I would guess that the GTS will be available immediately with the 992.2. IIRC it was also this way with the 991.2.
