PSMP has value unless they’re selling dealer ****ed you over and marks it up 1500 bucks more than what you would pay in the first place!!

You're definitely right, I read your thread (rennlist suggested it by scrolling down on this one) - they definitely overcharged you based on going rates I think. Hopefully they refund you the difference.

Also weird that they are able to overcharge you, since someone else mentioned thats not something theyre supposed to do..

apparently they’re not supposed to, but they can if they want to edit my case they did

Lucky for me in California. You have a 60 day window to refund it and get all of your money back which I did.

I actually emailed the selling dealership finance manager that sold me the plan politely informed him that I had discovered the plan was actually priced quite a bit lower. I told him that I already sent my cancellation to Porsche, but if he was willing to refund the difference, I would retract the cancellation. It was very polite email. I told him whatever he chose to do is fine with me and I love the car.

He replied to go ahead and cancel the contract

So they would’ve rather lost all of the profit , then give me anything back …strange

No worries to me I will happily pocket my money and pay for service as I go

And you can replace that contract at any other Porsche dealership nationwide. You can probably do it over the phone or online.

Please name the dealership so they are rightfully exposed.

The problem is - his car is technically not eligible for PSMP. It is more than 2 years old.

wouldnt that be an additional red flag lol

1. not supposed to mark it up
2. selling it for cars that arent eligible

Some dealers who charge MSRP, use a marked up service plan as an ADM method.

I was considering the plus 2 since it was suggested that this would be the 30K Mile service where Spark Plugs may be done.

However as I look at the Service manual I'm concerned that maybe Plus 2 will not cover the Spark Plugs unless you have either reached 30K miles or 4 years.
I will likely only be at about 11-12K miles once I've had the car for 3 years when I'd use the second year of the Plus 2.

Since I will have not hit 30K nor 4 years, it sounds like a Spark Plug change may not be performed.

Thoughts?

Here's the manual (sorry for the potato quality)

I'm paying $5K ADM on my 992 T order.

I have two options:
$5K with 1+ (total two services included)
$5.7K with 2+ (total two services included)

If I look at the table above, if I go for $5,700 with 2+ services, my ADM goes down to to $3,320.

Now based on the quotes I got from Porsche Belleuve, year 2 (20,000 miles) service is almost $2,200 and year 3 is $886.17. If these are indeed correct, my ADM goes down to $2,600.

To me, I guess it makes sense to go for $5,700 with +2 services. Any thoughts? Bellevue quotes attached.

Problem your going to run into with PSMP is it will not transfer if you sell, or the car gets totaled. I had a 2020 GT4 that I purchased the PSMP for at delivery. Car got totaled 13 months later, and most of the PMP wasn't returned. All that prepaid maintenance was left in someone else pocket, for returning zero services.

Be careful.

Why is replace spark plugs pushed to 40K on the quote? Its supposed to be 30K. That's the big dollar item, much of the rest of it is a lot of fluff. They are pulling a fast one on you moving the plugs to 40K when its supposed to be 30K, get them to correct that and renegotiate.

Please see my post above.

Can anyone with the plan actually confirm that Prepaid covers spark plugs at the +2 service regardless of mileage?
Right now it just seems anecdotal - unless someone has actual PSMP documentation that shows exactly what you get at the +2 Service, I am not feeling confident that Spark Plug replacement is a guaranteed service.

It is in the picture @BlitzedTT posted above. 30K or 4 Years.

It depends on how you comprehend that.

30K would generally be 3 Years - but they say 4 years.

If PSMP is based on anniversary date rather than mileage, then it would the +3 service.
Which would make sense based on pricing since the big jump is from +2 to +3

So no I would not say it is conclusive from the picture.

@doug_999 Are you able to look at your documentation?

The PSMP is not for me. I will deal with each maintenance situation as it arises and do what I deem necessary.
