Front license plate bracket

Front license plate bracket
Has anyone had experience with an after market “no drill” front license plate frame on a new 992 with the front camera? What worked and what didn’t? How easy was the install? Post pictures please. Thanks

I was looking for input on this as well, I don't run my front plates daily but I like having a quick and easy way to make it look like I do if needed.
On previous cars I use rho-plate tow hook mounts but I'm not sure if I like the way it works with the placement on the 992
I did some quick research and found this, pricey and still unsure if it's as good of a product as they claim, was hoping to hear if users here have any experience with it

In my current state - no. And I'm friendly with my town's police chief - they won't ticket for no front plate unless you're generally being an ***...
When I was in Ohio - yes. Brooklyn OH PD pulled me over specifically to ticket me for no front plate.... But that's Brooklyn OH, for three years I used to park across the street from the Brecksville PD - would back into the parking spot even... And they didn't care.

Yes, I’ve received tickets for no front plate in CA and VA. FWIW I posted to this forum about a year ago on a faster, better cheaper easier solution to install your front plate mount without drilling holes into the visible part of the bumper. Two VERY small holes where they cannot be seen are all that is needed. Worked on my old 997 and now on my 992. Look for it.

Good info in this thread. I like Craig's mount.

I just compared the photos on the Cabonio website with my 2023 992. Their photos shows panel with numerous one inch holes. That panel is now solid. I doubt the 2022 version will work because it attaches to those holes.

I haven't decided if I'm going to go with a no drill plate mount or not.
In the past I've used the tow hook mounts from Cravenspeed on assorted MINIs, VWs, and Audi's, although I pulled it off my Mercedes GLC because I couldn't get it positioned in a way that it wasn't picked up by the front parking sensor.

Many of the 992 no-drill license solutions work with the surround camera or ACC options. Just make sure you check for and purchase the version that matches your 992's options configuration. I personally like and currently use the Carbonio mount. I also tried the rho-plate mount but while it worked, I disliked the asymmetrical look and with ACC my plate was slightly rotated.
