CTEK battery maintainer

Many have tried
It would always take me two or three times to get it to work (15 min between tries). It would then fail at some point over the next few weeks.
It is about 10-15 min to install the pigtail and so worth it. I’m personally not a fan of it sticking out of the hood like some have done. I think there is a picture of my install on this thread.

Anyone having repeated failures on CTEK Comfort Connect cable hard wired to battery? My #56-629 appears to have failed-second time in about 7 months. Wonder if vibration could be causing failure or if I'm just having bad luck with CC cables. I'm going to try one last CC 56-629 and hope that works. Any experience w/ CC cable reliability or suggestions to reduce failure potential?

Tried different outlet overnight and charge aborted. All signs point to comfort connect cable failure. Will pursue replacement with CTEK and when/if that fails will try something else-the unreliability of this setup is unacceptable.

It shouldn’t be this hard to maintain the battery.
Looking at you PORSCHE!

I’m using a NOCO, any issues using this ground point or installing the NoCo in this location?

Need help choosing CTEK charger/maintainer
Hi Everyone,
Winter has arrived in WI and the car will be parked for the next couple of months - meaning it’s time to get a CTEK charger setup.
As a starting point, how do I know which battery I have? What indicates if it’s a traditional or lithium?
Also, does the battery type determine which CTEK charger/maintainer to get?
I know these are novice questions, but I’m hoping the others that have also gone through this process can help me figure this out.
Pictures of my battery are attached for reference.
My car is a 2023 GTS without RAS, I mention this because it seems cars with RAS have lithium batteries, but I’m unsure if there are other factors. Maybe all 992’s are lithium?
Thanks for all the help!

CTEK Charger
Lots of pictures on how to connect to the battery in here (mine are the best ), or you can get the cigarette lighter plug from Ctek and go that route (not really recommended IMHO).
What is interesting is it looks like something is already connected to your battery?
