Porsche makes the money by selling brand new cars, not CPO or used vehicles. They have absolutely no intention to purposely hold up cars not allow them to be sold.

Oh I get it now! They sell new cars to make MONEY!? Economics 101
Exactly.
High probability that there is some form of addiction associated with a guy who works 80 hours/wk but can't pay his electric bill.
Minimum wage in NY is $16/hour. At 80 hours/week, that is $1280/week or $66,560/year pretax which is just about $50K after tax and doesn't consider the cost of working (commuting costs, lunch, etc). It is probably quite the challenge for a family of 4 to make ends meet anywhere in the greater NYC area on $50K.
I am not taking a political position about minimum wage or anything remotely like that. My post is not meant to be political - just looking into the numbers that a hardworking but unfortunate (and uneducated and/or unskilled and/or unmotivated) adult doesn't have to be an addict to be economically challenged.

This is the stupidest thing I have read in a while. There are plenty of people out there who are working 80 hrs a week and are barely making it. Be happy you are not in that situation, and don't look down on those who don't have the skills and education to make a good living.
No one should look down on anyone. Be humble. I know Ivy League W2 workers and college drop outs making tons of money. Just cause you make money doesnt mean jack. Treat everyone with respect. The world will be better with respectful human beings.
Right, but dealers don't have the ability to decide that a car should be held at port. Porsche (especially not that it is publicly traded) would not delay booking hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue so its dealers can charge ADMs.

Thanks for the lecture Pal.
I just love it when the Joe Sanctimonious types of our world feel that they are so morally superior and in a position to "straighten out" others who they do not know and have never met.
Hope I am as good as you someday!
I think the current customs freeze will be fueling a premium for CPOs this spring. I bet Porsche is purposely holding cars to drive up current sellable inventory prices.
*I better go put another layer of tin foil in my windows and stock up on faraday satchels.
Read out loud what you are typing.
If have any inkling of the costs to "hold" something at port, you would realize the utter nonsense of any profit-seeking entity (to which PAG is definitely one) "purposely holding" cars at port.
Targa production volume is smaller than the GT3. Outside the specials, theyre typically the rarest 911s in a given model year. Three pedal examples, like the one you shared, are rarer still.
