Buyers just need to stop playing the fuking dealer games and not pay the markup. Last 3 years have conditioned buyers to accept that markup is normal. It is not. Funny story, I met a guy at the tint shop that also bought a new m2 the same time i did last year. He paid $5K markup and I paid $500 below MSRP.

Markup Outliers will still exist for GT3, Sienna, and Type R where there is always not enough supply.
It’s all market specific and location. Some markets have ADM’s while others may not (…but will only sell to local residents without ADM; distance buyers still pay it). I paid under MSRP in April of 2022, but only because it was a friend of a friend who hooked me up with his GM’s approval. I was an outlier. There are some who can find MSRP or under 911’s, but they are a very small percentage. ADM’s on non-GT 911’s aren’t going anywhere for awhile.

my son just bought an M2 this week 3 % off MSRP
I bought an M3 for 4 % off
and as I said before got 1 K off for a golf R
before we pulled the trigger on the above cars , we looked at other options including
Honda Type R . Can easily get at sticker
Audi RS3 . We were offered 2 k below sticker
but I agree there are regional variations
dealers are trying to keep the Covid hype of scarcity as long as they can

Winter months are typically slow in car sales, and more discounts seen…

Working 80 hours a week and not being able to make ends meet is not about fortune, it's about poor choices somewhere along the line.

I do agree that money issues are largely psychological. Any knowledgeable financial advisor will say the same thing. It’s rarely about the amount a person makes.

What state are you in? Are you in a large metropolitan area?

If you have an anecdote from one source, you file it away. If you hear it again, it may be true. Then the more times you hear it the less likely it is to be true.

you can get most normal Carrera's at MSRP lol - i've seen posts online on a FB group for an open C4S Coupé, Turbo S Cab, and Base Coupé. Only thing that was a little over was a Targa. out of respect for RL, won't provide the link here, but while the current slots seem slim...there's opportunity to be had

Yup.

You should have seen the "ADM Thread" in the 992 GT3/GT3RS forum that the mods finally "unstickied" this week after 550 pages of people telling "others" jhow to spend THEIR MONEY
Never mind telling people how the economy was heading for a Recession, the stock market was about to collapse, and ADM's would be disappearing.
Seriously, I don't know what some of these guys do for a living . . . but it clearly has nothing to do with the financial markets.

One of the dumbest threads that I've ever encountered on the internet. People repeating themselves every day for 2 years straight.
The threads only value was as a contrary indicator.
