Hey guys,
I've read numerous threads on Standard Interior vs Full Interior and 100% certain that Full Interior looks better than Standard - no doubt about it. I'm still trying to get an idea on how many of you are actually speccing Full Leather vs Standard Interior, especially on a T (or base)? My current build is at $130,000 and speccing $4500 Full Leather is additional 3% but I did want to limit it to $130,000. What I don't know is whether I should spec it on T? I do intend to keep the car for 2 to 3 years and want to ultimately move to S.
So does Leather interior a must have option on T?
In particular how does if impact resale value?
Please also complete poll.

I currently own a base with sports seats plus and standard interior. I have a T allocation locking in March and scheduled for delivery in June. I am on this same fence but for different reasons. I want this car to be different from the one I have and to take advantage of the unique aspects of being a T as opposed to a base or an S. In your case, planning to just keep the car 2-3 years and then moving to an S, I would recommend you spec your car with the Standard Carrera T Interior Package with Sport-Tex Seat Centers and Stitching in Slate Grey. It splits the difference in cost, adds interest to the interior above the standard interior, and will set it apart from other 911’s when it comes time to sell in a couple years. It has been said you don’t get full value back for any options (in a normal used car market), but I could see you getting good value back for the “smaller” $2,400 investment that takes advantage of the T uniqueness as opposed to the larger investment for the leather that isn’t special.

Going with the standard interior, feels like it fits the T. Also my first 911 so in some ways you can say I dont know what I'm missing.

Going standard but with the lizard green pinstripe/stitching since it adds some color and is special for the T. Agree with adm63 that the standard just feels more T to me.

The standard interior will probably prove to be more durable over time. I would suggest that you take a look at a 992 with a standard interior and see if you're willing to accept the appearance of that dash in your new $100k+ new car. Honestly, while driving the car you'll be having so much fun that you're not going to care what interior you selected. However, while entering, exiting and detailing the car you'll be reminded of your exact selection.
I've selected the T leather package in green for my build.

Full leather isn't "full" when compared to the exclusive leather interior (circa $17,000). But the standard leather interior option gives a level of richness to the interior. I'd consider the lower door panel leather option as well. I think the chrono surround, passenger cupholder, dash end pieces, steering column surround, fuse box covers, etc. offer less.

Full leather on this bad boy.
It's a 6 figure dollar car, needs to have nice interior.

Yea this took a very quick turn towards leather... After months of this debate on the T thread and many people opting for the basic interior, or in MOST cases the slightly upgraded T interior, I am shocked to see these numbers... The real question I have now is, how many of the leather people are ALSO adding the rear seats... I really think that once again I will be in the minority with rear seat delete and light weight interior (Just like how the builds on the 991 T ended up shaping out).

I vote standard. I know everyone on here pays cash, can afford three LaFerraris, but landed in a Carrera. But really, they’re spending too much on their interiors. Everyone thinks it’s their forever car, but looking at Carfax reports, majority of folks dump the car in 1 year or less. I primarily watch the GTS used market, and when I see some folks doing $200k GTS builds; it seems a bit overboard. Porsche has made it so you can option the car to death, and everything is just a few bucks more, but for what? After a while you get used to things, and realize things don’t really matter as much as you thought they did.
It’s a diminishing ROI the further you get from base price of the trim you’re looking at, but personally, premium package is a must in my case, and everything else is examined from the aspect of how it will enhance my driving experience. You can spend thousands race-tex’ing all the things in my GTS, but why, other than to make everything look cohesive.

Went with the standard interior. Would have thought differently if there were more deviated stitching packages or colors other than black leather. Didn’t feel like it was enough of an upgrade at the price.
Was told the black exterior and lizard green was too “green hornet”![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
Chalk was too muted for my liking, plus would have to get a Yankees sticker with that look![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
Pretty envious of that GTS configurator…

I have a full leather S. Have driven a standard leather car briefly also.
If you have the disposable income, then yes, the full leather is nice.
If you’d rather save a few bucks, the standard interior is a good place to save it. The car is entirely fine and completely enjoyable with the standard interior.
