ADMs dropping
#436
Talked with SA's at each of the Miami-Dade/Broward dealerships in the past week. Take it with a grain of salt, but most (tho not all) of their 911 allocations going to customers on wait list at MSRP, only entertaining ADMs if someone proposes some stupid high number. Wait lists anywhere from 1-3 years depending on model. Allocations going to locals only, two mentioned lots of interest from California especially to see if they can get on a Florida wait list.
Lord knows why anyone from California would try Florida market given demand dynamics are pretty similar in both places.

Getting a discount off sticker is a big stretch from ADMs going to zero. As long as this car is essentially build to order for any available allocation, I can't see any discounts off MSRP barring some big economic shock sometime this year. Hyundais are still selling for sticker.

Hyundai's make some of the best cars out there (along with their sister company, Kia).
I'm guessing a Sante Fe and/or Palisade will not reach price parity between ADM and MSRP before a Macan or Cayenne do (assuming those cars are still commanding a premium).

i spoke to my SA this morning to finalize my taycan order and share my interest in cayenne refresh. he mentioned they have a new 2023 Carrera 4S Coupé with a Manual available...he said ADM is $7500 and the buyer is responsible for shipping, if applicable. if i didn't already have so much going on, i'd be very tempted! Lol if anyone wants his info/spec, lmk. i think it's at the US port?
The ADM thing is now becoming a joke… cars are becoming available and used prices are dropping but dealerships will do everything to squeeze out the final drops from retail pockets (i get it.. it’s not their faults… blah blah..) . Just a few years ago I was getting almost 7% of builds! Crazy wacky world still. Won’t last much longer. Auction prices are sinking quick for some brands and all are dropping for others.
$7.5k for a C4S (which is a relatively low-volume trim) and a 7MT (even harder to find) that's available now doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world? though i understand how you feel...i got 8% off my cayenne back in early 2021.

Anyone got an SA with a lead on a base Carrera? I have tried a bunch of CA dealers, most won't sell out of State. I haven't tried east coast dealers for shipping reasons but would entertain it if an allocation is available and they are willing to sell out of State. Not a tire kicker, won't waste your SA's time.

The same people who tend to wait for ADMs to drop will often be the same people who will continue waiting when prices do drop.
Waiting with bated breath for the next price drop. And then the next one. And so on and on.
When will the price ever be “right”?
Its a weird combo of YOLO and FOMO which often ends up making a person utter FML.

Not sure why people use Hyundai as the punching bag for when ADMs will reach parity with MSRP.

You are right..Macans and Cayennes are available at MSRP, also discounts are available on base models. Palisades are selling at MSRP for the lower trims and limited/calligraphy models have a small ADM, Kia Telluride is still subject to a significant ADM. Hyundai and Kia make some very good products when compared to what else is available at the same prices
