I presume that's a lot cheaper than Porsche will charge for sensors.
We also have more than one car, all with wheel sensors.

FYI- Chinese company has new Autel MK808S on Black Friday sale for $353 + free shipping until Dec.5 at www.autelmfg.com. Website says it is a 26% savings. Do not know anything about the company. Might be same vendor that Garthg bought his from….not sure.

The specific model I got is the MK808Z TS.
I tried it out more broadly with my 992 and with my wife's Lexus.
It does NOT have bi-directional (i.e. "service" functions) capability with the 992, other than the oil reset. It does have the ability to read factory codes and provide live data.
With the Lexus, it does have bi-directional activation and testing abilities. I was able to test and diagnose the seat memory in the Lexus. (There was no hardware problem).
As far as I can tell, it has no ECU or module coding abilities. For that I think you need to go to a $2,000 scanner. There's nothing in the $500 range yet with that ability that I've seen.

I decided to get the version with the TPMS capabilities, as I have numerous issues when replacing tires with my LandRovers that have to be recoded if not going to the dealer when swapping out tires on those things...

Exactly - by the end of the second oil change it will have paid for itself AND you have the satisfaction of doing it yourself, knowing it was completed correctly, and you have less reliance on visiting a dealership (which becomes increasingly important when the nearest one is over 200 miles away).

I just did my first oil service on my 992S today, it’s a simple procedure, took me one hour. My Ford Ranger and my wife’s Macan S are both more complicated to do oil changes on.
$119 in materials using new a drain plug, Mahle OEM filter and Liquid Moly oil from Pelican Parts.
two other tips in addition to Siberians…. 1). Use a newspaper rain sleeve to capture the oil filter, put it over your hand and roll it onto the old oil filter (like using a condom) before you pull it out of the canister.. Easy and not one drip! 2) use a one quart milk jug (64oz) to do the final quart top off. You can control the amount of oil going in much better and want to fill with 6.5 to 7 quarts, run the car and check levels, then top off to 8 qts. Do not overfill these sumps.

FWIW, I use a Dog Poo Bag to extract the old Oil Filter. We have a couple of dogs and they don't seem to mind.

I bought one of these, works great for what were discussing. Plus I can use it to create "service ticket/ service records" records and email them to myself from the device for further documentation for future use or need.

Then again . . . my 3.0L 2021 C2S holds 10 quarts of oil and is not overfilled. It's also what my dealer put in at the 1 Year/10,000 mile "free" oil change. I was using 9 1/2 quarts, but 10 quarts (with a new oil filter) does not overfill and the gauge on the dash is very happy at 10 quarts.

On another note, has anyone been successful on a. 992 turning off the Start/Stop feature with their Autel? I have a Maxicom 906BT and mucked around for two hours today trying to get to that module and kept getting “not supported” for the Porsche VIN on my car.

Are you sure about that? The factory spec on our cars is 8 liters with filter, which is 8.5 quarts. I put in about 7.75 quarts and all looks good. I ran the car ten minutes after each top off.

Mine looks like Image "A" with 10 Quarts and an Oil Filter.
