We have a 992, 718 GTS and 718 Spyder that rotate through storage for up to 2-3 weeks. All of them are US cars, and none of them have the smoking package. What is my best option for charging while in storage? The charge mat + alligator clips right to the battery?
Thanks.
Thanks.

All of them will have a cigarette 9v port (the 992 is passenger side footwell).
I think the best way though is to get a permanent pigtail (direct to battery) - easy quick connector (you can get a charger from Ctek on Amazon, and get 2 Ctek pigtails (one comes with the CTEK. Make sure you get an AGM (or lithium charger - depending on what you have) - assume all of yours is AGM battery type.
All my cars have the pigtail attached, makes it easy to connect/disconnect the charger.

- I'll check the manuals - it sounds like there is an aux 9v port in the cars despite not having the smoking package?

This looks like it supports AMG batteries. There are so many options it is hard to tell.

Ok here you go this is the AGM charger you will need from CTEK. I use this particular one on my 2018 GT3 Touring, and 2 other cars.
My 992 has Rear Axel Steering which means it has a LiPo battery - so I use the Lipo specific charger on that one and my 720s.
Here is the proper link from Amazon on the charger for AGM type batteries.
This one comes with One Pigtail in the box.
I believe you said you have 3 cars with AGM batteries.
You will want to order 2 of these extra pigtails:
If you need extra long connector (depending on how far the charger is from a plug. You can buy this which goes between the charger and the pigtail. (you may have the power close to where you park, so probably do not need this, but just in case, thought I would add it.)
There are easy instructions on the forum on how to hook up the pigtail to the 992 - takes about 5 minutes direct to battery. Actually any car should be about 5 minutes to do, and once you do it, you never have to do it again.

CTEK with connected pigtails for quick connect/disconnect. As with AGM and especially LiFePO4 batteries do not leave the batteries permanently connected. These batteries need to be able to discharge and then be recharged and as Richard mentioned get the specific charger for your type of battery.
I've got 3 chargers. A regular wet battery one for my Touareg and Olga (my skid steer), a CTEK AGM for the wife's Macan and a LiFePO4 for my 992. The right tool for the right job

I think you mean AGM batteries.
If you research you will see these are not trickle chargers. They are battery tenders.
Yes CTEK is the best. CTEK makes the Porsche Brand battery tenders.
I have one I've used for 6 years on 4 different 2015+ Porsches. Great battery tender!
i would not use any other battery tender on my Porsche AGM batteries!

Totally agree with @Richard_Wallace about the brand, method, and connectivity. Works like a charm. I do have a lowly AGM battery though and can't attest to the LiION ones.
I have used CTEK for years on all sorts of domestic vehicles without fail and even when the power fails, the whole home generator kicks on, then power returns and the CTEK keeps on kicking like a champ doing it's business.

Light weight? You mean LiFePO4? Yes CTEK makes one for those, I have one for my 992.
