992s Driven Year Round in the Snow, Mud and Rain
#16
Snow? what is that?
Haven’t seen snow (maybe a dusting?) where we live in a number of years.
Although I wish we would get a good snow storm, or two during the Winter.

I would drive mine in the snow…but I don’t stick around when that happens. Snowbirding in the Philippines for the win. Im just not built for the cold.
It is in the parking lot getting rained on right now though. Sees plenty of rain.

I would get a severe case of separation anxiety, let alone the humidity would kill me...

@Idle Hour just out of interest, what winter tires do you have? Nokian? I missed the boat on those as they weren't available when I was looking and I ended up with Michelin. Will probably try and unload them and get the Nokian studded. Can't beat those, I have them on my Touareg and Macan S

The snow doesn't concern me, with proper tires, but I don't want salt on mine.
Having brought two cars from California to the East Coast, I've seen just how quickly a few exposures to salt corrodes everything underneath.
Two seasons here is more than equivalent to twenty years in So Cal.

Intermediate
Not a garage queen. 50.000 km (30k miles) annual mileage, tracking and road tripping.
Mix of melt water, dirt and salt.
Austrian Alps
This was like slime, Yummi
Northern Norway
Near North Cape
Frozen lake in Finnland. Sometimes driving on ice goes wrong.
Track rubber, also some kind of dirt.
I'm thinking of starting a thread about my North Cape roadtrip, a great experience I want to share!
