Looks promising. Looking to add sport cats myself. Concerns on CELs. Fabspeed claims their 200 cells will not code. Soul still says it’s 50/50 on their 200 cells. I’m a 21, know 20 was friendly to this mod. These are 100s and look very well made vs competitors. Curious on your results, looks the best option pending some field reviews! Good luck.

I wish these cats had enough room on the pipe to do electric cutouts.

What do you mean with electric cutouts?

An electric valve that dumps before the muffler giving you straight pipe sound.

What are the HP gains from these? I do want downpipes for the increase in sound, but some manufacturers claim 30+ hp gains while others don’t mention any sort of gain.

@stef@europipe

The remote allows you to open up the actuators so the exhaust gas dumps straight into atmosphere, bypassing the muffler.

Most of us already have PSE, and kind of seems silly to have to buy a whole new exhaust system on top of cars to get maximum sound.

Mine are going on as we speak. Dropped the car off at service center last night.

Looking forward to reporting results.

Any issue running without a heat shield? My guy is a little concerned. Figured I’d check before I have him go ahead.

I don’t think so, there should be less heat given less material to slow down exhaust gasses.

Looks like other systems lack heat shields as well

Our sport cats are double walled, what you see on the outside is the heat shield so no need for a second shield really.
Actually the bracket (with the 2 nuts) is welded onto the heat shield and not on the cat core itself.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure, I thought you meant the OEM electric motors.
Yes dumping the exhaust gas straight into the atmosphere is really loud. Not a problem but the issue is the mega drone you get with these short exhaust pipes. The drone drives you crazy and makes you deaf.

About 10 HP at the top but you don't really feel these. What you do feel is the added torque at low rpm and midrange and the sharper throttle response. To me that's way more important than the extra 10 HP at the top.

Cats are on -- the sound difference isn't very obvious; perhaps slightly more tone and some turbo whine. When getting on it above ~4k it's def louder but not at all obnoxious. I drove most of the way home with the top down and the sounds this motor makes are just so glorious; now a bit more so.

The most obvious difference from the cats is that the motor revs more freely, leading to the improved throttle response. It also pulls noticeably harder from low rpms even in upper gears.

I had the Numeric shifter installed at the same time. It's much more precise, shifts are much more satisfying.
