I’m in your exact situation today. I was waiting for a RWD GTS but an AWD fell in my lap today at MSRP. I’m reading every post and watching every YouTube video ever made trying to decide! Given a choice I’d pick RWD but unfortunately my choice is AWD or wait 6 (or more) months for RWD.
ANY regrets on your decision?

A bird in the hand....

90% of the time it’s 90% power to the rear anyway. You’ll get help on launch and in the corners.
im actually happy I got the 4.

I would get the 4GTS and remove the rear model designation
Jokes apart, never driven a RWD 992 but finding my previous 992 4S and my current 992 4GTS great in all weather conditions, including snow.

That’s awesome! We need to see some videos! :-)
I decided to pass on the 4 GTS allocation. It wasn’t an easy decision because it very likely means I won’t have a new car to drive this summer.
The more I thought about it the more I felt like I should wait. I had an RS5 in the past that I sold because I didn’t find the AWD as engaging as a RWD car. The Porsche system may be better but I don’t want to make the same mistake.

I like the sometimes squirrelly nature of my RWD 911 and would prefer it over AWD. My daily driver already is AWD. But given the lengthy allocation process I’d move forward with the 4 GTS.

Quick update. I got a C2S allocation offered to me today and I’m not letting it go. My first 911! So excited!
