Do you drive your 992 year round?
I suppose we will allow posts from my home state Hawaii as temperatures have been known to dip drastically to the high 50s or mid 60s with heavy rains

I drive my car year round here in California. Though it might sit for a few months at a time depending on which direction my business takes me. That can be at any point during the year; from the best driving months in the summer to the worst in the winter. 🤷🏼♂️

yea that's the whole point of a 911 right? otherwise I'd get a ferrari and let it sit in the garage.

It’s a 911. They’re meant to be driven all year round. Winter storage is for Italian cars.

I probably don’t drive it for a bit more than 2 months. Literally just the most bitterly cold ones (Jan, Feb). I just put it in the garage a couple of days ago and will pull it out early March
I just don’t want to bother with a tire switch, especially just to drive it in winter. I mean, even with winter tires I don’t see how I can enjoy this car with random ice patches and slush and all.
It’s not a necessary form of transportation for me, so…..

Or a heated steering wheel or rear wiper (without a washer - brilliant saving of 4 oz.)???
And here I thought I was alone on the icy roads

I drive my 911 mostly for fun. I almost always try to drive it as fast as possible and I’m always flooring the throttle. I try to find curvy roads.
All that in mind, and with the risk of slippery roads, how can I do what I want in winter? Driving this car slowly and cautiously frustrates me. And that is what I feel like I would have to do in winter.

The right tires and skill... when I test drove for VDub/Audi/Bentley they took us on a one day ice/winter track at the US Army Arctic warfare training center. The first ten minutes were ... "riveting" after that you started to learn how to anticipate.
Better IMHO to drive a wee bit slower than wait five months to be able to drive it a wee bit faster.
