Default Do you wish you had a GT3

Are you now envious of people that own the GT3 Touring? Do you feel that you spend all this money on the C2S or C4S and now along pulls up the GT3 with all the fancy front end and back redesign and say darn, if I only waited.

Nope. Not one bit.
My C4S feels quicker on the street (991.2 GT3 for reference). It makes more torque than the GT3 ever makes and it does that the bottom of the rev range. It even makes more horsepower below 6k.

Plus, I get back seats that fit our son and his cousins. So, I can share the fun.

Does the GT3 sound awesome when you’re high in the rev range? Damn straight. Do you get to leverage that rev range on the street regularly? Nope.

992 GT3 isn’t even particularly attractive. I think that it looks better with the wing — substantially lighter than the 992 Touring too, btw.

I'd like to have one for track days. Sad that's the least likely thing to happen to them.

Am I envious of owners of the GT3 Touring? Absolutely!

Do I wish I had waited? Hell no. Not today, not in this market.

I placed a deposit for my first P-car (a C2S) this past February at a modest discount, and I received the car in April. I count myself very fortunate.

Little ol' me would be catching lightning in a bottle to snag a GT3T allocation, even more so an allocation without an eye-popping ADM. Finding a 992 Touring slot would be nearly impossible for a newb like me, and even if I did the additional markup would put the car out of my current price range. So, I accept the reality of this market and continue enjoying what I have.

Sometimes waiting gets you nowhere.

Nope...completely impractical for a daily for me and no matter or level of convincing can persuade me otherwise. Styling is way too aggressive as well for me, again. .as a daily. Cool vehicle none the less and glad it's made!

Agree on styling I’ve always said if it has to grow on you might be a pass. Both cars weigh about the same a tough over 3100 lbs.

mmmm I think the 992 GT3 is drop dead sexy... for me especially in Touring form. Looks-wise I'm all in on the new GT3.

that said, car makes no sense for me. Haven't driven one but allegedly its even a bit more harsh on the street vs 991.2 GT3. Back seat matters for me to be able to handle school drop off. As much as I like to pretend like I'm a racecar driver the reality is I will likely only get a new Porsche to the track 1x per year max. I need a street car for daily driving and weekend cruising duties and for that its just the wrong variant for me. So nope, don't wish I had one. What I wish is that my life was at the stage where I could have one, and use it on a track often like it was meant to be used.

According to Motortrend’s Jonny Lieberman, the GT3 Touring was a bit heavier when they put it on the scale. They blame the spoiler mechanism and hardware not present on the GT3 with the wing.

Not in the slightest - my 992TTS is preferable in every way, in my opinion.

all depends on dry weight vs fluids Porsche publishes both cars a tad over 3100. Motor mechanics vs wing close to off set I would imagine, if you look at HP to weight ratios their both the same. GT car north or 3200 lbs would be a fail.

The 991.2 GT3 puts more torque to the wheels than a 992 C4S.It has a much longer final drive.

The 992 GT3 is even more powerful, and while "only" having 470 Nm vs. the C4S 530 Nm, it is lighter, and have a much shorter gearing. Just look at Porsches official times, which are pretty conservative. The GT3 is much faster.

As for attractive? It's totally personal. I'm really glad they changed the rear on the GT3, because I personally think the non-GT 992 is the ugliest 911 rear end there has ever been.

It is what it is, and totally personal. I would not want a 992 TTS for my manual 992 Touring.

Agree on a number of fronts. The 992 is a bit flashy for the neighbors already. I think I wake them up or they hear me leave. I guess you can't beat this!
