Do you wish you had a GT3

None of them where trailered. The Pista lives there at the moment hence the German plates, but it was driven from Copenhagen two weeks prior after setting it up. (Ferrari factory alignment sucks.) Pics below.
I drove the 812 GTS there on a Sunday, spent the Monday on the track with both cars where wifey and I swapped back and forth. Starting Tuesday, drove the 812 GTS through Germany, Switzerland,Italy, and back to Denmark on a road trip. It was the same week as all the floods. Love road trips.

You guys obviously have bank. Were you guys always into cars? What age? I think all of us on this site do pretty well financially. I'm thinking about adding to my collection as well but a bit concerned about putting too much of the net worth in cars. What's your philosophy on putting the cash toward cars?

While some cars may be considered an investment, very few actually are. My philosophy is this Any current production car, apart from Ferrari VS cars etc, I buy is an expense and that includes Porsche GT cars. I know I can sell my 812 GTS for over MSRP currently, but I prefer to use it as a car, so I view it as "money lost". It's like going into a casino. What you take with you in is what you can afford to lose. I'm well aware that my cars carry some kind of residual value, but truth be told I never think about it. That's also why I have a pretty relaxed take on owning them. I don't mind letting friends and family used them for road trips or just for a few days etc. They are meant to be driven and enjoyed.
Sure cars like a 250 GTE, F40 or the like are different animals, but that's also a completely different ballgame than a Porsche 911 GT.
What are you considering adding? In my opinion a car that you love to drive carries the highest value. A car you don't drive and don't like, has no value. I'm not a "car collector" despite having a collection of cars. I'm first and foremost a driving enthusiast and cars I don't care for are quickly dispatched if I don't like them. I sold two cars some would consider me insane for selling, simply because I did not connect with them One was my 991.1 GT3RS which I managed to put 18k km on in less than two years, and the other was my Pista Spider which I put 12k km on in about 5 months. Neither didn't do what I wanted them to do or wanted them to be.
So my advice is that you only buy what you know you can afford to lose, and you only boy what you really want to drive. Also, don't be too hung up about parking. It's a car after all.

Forget it. Sometimes you just can't reach people. This is a thread about the GT3 vs. regular 911's so mentioning a car like your Huracan might take things further.
Funny that your 765LT was not questioned? I wonder how he would feel about the fact that I like my Pista, daily my 812 GTS while having a GT3 on order.
But showoffs come in many sizes, and so does Ferrari and Lambo owners.
My 812 GTS is less than 3 months old, and it has over 7700 km on it. Here I'm taking it around the NordSchlife after just owing it a week. And yes, that Pista is mine too.
There's just as many driving enthusiasts within the Ferrari and Lambo community as there is within the Porsche gang.
Jealousy is a cruel mistress.

I don’t have a philosophy on cars, although I prefer track oriented cars. Whether that by the GT3 of a Miata spec race car. I’ll buy a car if it adds something unique or the experience is unique. Sometimes that is an exotic and other time’s it’s vintage.
I’m in my early 40s and my Lambo makes my inner 10 year old very happy.

Do I wish I had one? Yes! Am I envious? No. Owning any Porsche is already a dream for most people.

Honestly, the car I wish I had was my 993TT that I sold for $50k to pay for my wedding.
