Default GT3 Side skirt install on a Carrera 2 S

I also installed the GT3 Side skirts,
A few tips in addition to the previous posts
I found that by removing the outboard fasteners on the belly pan the side skirt was easier to remove and install because i could grab the inboard part
pull down slightly then outboard away from the car
I also found it easiest to tuck the front edge under the fender liner
Then go to the back and begin sliding the skirt to engage the white clips
This is because the curve of the rear fender causes the clips there to engage at different angles
All of the others are a straight push inboard
Here are a few pictures

Default GT3 Side Skirt installed

Received these this week. Took about 8 weeks to get them. Installation is pretty straight forward. Also installed the Porsche factory door decals in black. . Jury is still out on those. Good news is that if they do not work, they are easy to remove.

Stock skirts

Installed

looks good. I think the satin black of the OEM bumper and GT3 side skirts look really good in Aventurine Green I am still debating if I should apply door decals (and which one) and the wheel well protectors. The 911 Carrera decal looks subtle and gives it a nice touch.

Here’s a few angles of my C2S w Aero. The GT3 sides really completed the look of the aero kit for me. IMHO the sport design sides don’t match the design of the 992.

I just got my side skirts........BUT.... Are these supposed to come with mounting hardware like clips etc...or do we reuse the existing parts? We bought skirts for my 991turbo and it came with an extra set of replacement hardware..

you reuse the same screws and clips. Just don’t forget to bend the brackets down and snap in on the GT3 side skirts before install.

Correct. See my post on installation too. Just do a search. Shows the steps and brackets that need to be reused. Easy to remove and slide on new GT3 skirts. Did send me new screws though. Easy job.

Good luck.

GT3 Side skirts Driver side oblique closer view.

Driver side done. Does flare a bit.

Small torx ratchet worked fine. Do inner ones first when reinstalling to help final alignment.

Fully aligned clip attachment points again.

Mounting points bent down and snapped into bottom holder flange. Reinforces the GT3 side skirts at mount points.

Do NOT break off these clips at the protruded part. Bend down like so. They provide structure to the GT3 skirts when installed at mounting points. See next pic.

Remounted screw clips on GT3 skirts.

Side rear mounting/attachment points.

Detach from front. Note clips and mount screws visible

Received my GT3 side skirts today, took only a week from suncoast! Super easy install thanks to this thread! I had to edit the photos a bit to get the skirts to show up better.

I also included a before pic with sports design skirts in matte black.

Very nicely done! Looks great..better than Sport Design ones and less costly too! Think about having them done in body color or did you do them in high gloss? Looks like the later...let us know.
