No more Braun shaver?
Surprised no one has mentioned this yet but anyone notice on the new 992 GT3 that the PDK model has a shifter **** that looks just like a manual shift **** and no longer the Braun shaver looking thingamajiggy? 😁
Wonder if that will trickle down to the rest of the 992 line.

It has been mentioned and many like it. Many like the new design as well. My guess is that you won’t see it on other models for quite some time, then maybe an option.

Do they still have the shift paddles on the steering wheel? I prefer that.

Three Wheelin'
The GT3 7speed PDK is the previous cable-actuated gearbox, necessitating a shift lever. The new 8speed PDK is shift by wire, hence the Braun shaver lever which no one seemed to mind when it was in the 918 Spyder.

I'm coming to like the Braun razor in our C2S. Seriously, I thought I would hate it but it has grown on me. Since I only shift with the paddles, the only time I really notice it is when shifting from park to drive or reverse.

Gives it a “clean and modern” look. I like it too.

shaver ruins 992 pdk for me completely.
