I too ordered the aluminum shifter. Standard looks fine to me, I just didn’t want it to crack.

Since PDK is DOA for me, I have no dog in this hunt. Would I care all that much over the shifter if I were going PDK? Not enough to stop me from buying the car. I’m just glad Porsche continues to offer the manual, as The Lord intended.

I wish Porsche and Braun would collaborate on a special edition “Braun 911” with an actual Braun razor as the shifter. You know, for the sporting gent who wants to touch up his beard before an important meeting. The razor would lift out of the center console and he could give himself a quick touchup. Or, for the lady wants to make sure her legs are nice and smooth for girls night out at the pub.

Query - if the did offer up a real razor shifter would YOU buy it?

For all the braun shifter haters - fun fact. If you turn off the car while its still in drive (but stationary, of course), it'll throw it into park for you! Take that, 991 PDK!
