Actually, I think they has that nomenclature prior to this new web config update.

I guess I hadn't checked since December..... You know, once your car shows up in the garage, you don't check the configurator much

Prices will keep going up as inflation does. Wouldn’t surprise me if a base C2 with a few options is a $150,000 car before the end of the decade.

Offered a July production and August delivery C2 allocation. Ready to put the deposit but the dealer is unsure if that's MY21 or MY22

If he actually has an allocation he would know. August delivery is almost certainly a '22

Well then, hate to pay $2,360 (inc. Apple Carplay) more.
Can also confirm another dealer offered a June allocation with Sep. delivery and it's a '22.

Noticed the Apple CarPlay for MY22 has an option to extend ‘indefinitely’... I wonder how much that is going to cost? 🤔

Dying to find out new PTS colors, im expecting my allocation in coming month. Brewster green was my original choice, but might pick something else now...

For the MY20/21's was Porsche Connect included as a 3 year subscription in the base price of the car?
Does that mean with the removal of the SIM card slot in MY22 and the inclusion of 3 years of Porsche Connect as standard, that end users would no longer need to pay for some alternate cellular data service for a SIM card?

Well this feels more acceptable than the way it's been done previously. I mean...$1,000 for Clear Tail LIghts? Come on that's insulting. But $1,000 for Exclusive Design Taillights...that seems fair maybe even a bargain. Who can resist the cache of Exclusive plastic?

Well, technically CarPlay is included and no need to pay for it. The extra cost only comes in if you want it after three years. Kind of like an extended warranty, buy it near the end not at the beginning - cause man, you get rid of the car before three years are up, and you are out the cash (and yes, it is a silly amount in the Porsche world, but still).

June allocation would probably be a July build I believe as well. I think

I was actually on the fence last weekend whether to wait for MY22. Instead, I put a deposit down for a June build. Glad I’m not missing much and from the sound of it, a June build is MY21, so I’m safe!

I was told in the system even though it was a June build, it was estimated for a July delivery. My CA said that is probably false and would be either August or September. I’m on the east coast, does it seriously take that long after production? Jeez. But can’t wait!

P.S. even though my dealer and build sheet said it’s a MY21, there’s not a chance it would automatically flip to a MY22, right?

I printed out the spec sheet for a C4S MY2022 vs a MY2021 (I had it saved previously) and every standard feature was exactly the same.
The MY2022 even stated:
  • Rear lid grille with vertical air slats in gloss silver
So hopefully this is still a thing!

Probably not.

But you never know -- the '22 PCM may be worth it, so win/win.
