2022 Configurator Now Running

No, that's very different from the classic Golden Screwdriver business model. If the guy from IBM broke into the building after three years and disabled half of the RAM, then demanded money to re-enable it, nobody would have tolerated that, even on a leased system.
Need independent confirmation that Porsche is actually planning to do this. If so, it's time to start going through the Rolodex, starting with our attorneys, the press, and finally our legislators.

i also noticed the FAL cutoff speed has been increased to 31mph (was 21mph). Any idea if this is just a software update so older 992's can be retrofitted or there is new hardware?

- The front axle lift system can be activated when the engine is running and the vehicle is stationary or, within the system limits, when it is traveling at a speed of up to approx. 20 mph (35 km/h) (or up to approx. 40 mph (60 km/h), depending on the country).

No. Wireless Carplay will be free for the first three years after which it would a a feature you "subscribe and pay for." That's our collective understanding.
I've read whereby car mfg are now building cars with options, features and services built-in, right from the factory and delivered with the base car. If you want the feature at some later date, you have to pay to "unlock" the feature in your own car.

I saw this mentioned earlier in the thread as something that may be coming in the future but are you seeing it in the current configurator? I’m not. But hopefully I’m just not looking in the right place because this is something I’ve been looking forward to. The option to add dash cams without having to tear the car apart to install is very appealing to me.

oh COOL..so it's already activated in 2021 MY?! mine will come in July as a 2021 so it should already include this feature..i just remember the old 2021 configurator had this speed cutoff at 21mph. Thanks for the heads up!

Yea I had questions on this when I was speccing mine but I was happy it was 39mph and not 21mph. I have to slow down from a 50mph road to turn into my development that has a bump. It works automatically every time due to the GPS auto lift. If you’re going above 39mph it will tell you to slow down so it can start lifting.

That's about right - and by comparison Porsche's pricing is a bargain. It was about a US $4200 option on my 812. It's not wireless (you have to plug in under the armrest), there's no large screen (which fine with me) so it shows up on the very small screen to the right of the tach. I might grumble, but I'd still pay up just so I can hear Waze say "police reported ahead", and I suspect Porsche expects you'll do the same after 3 years.
