Ha..Ha...

I test drove the Harley LiveWire down in Daytona before covid showed up. That thing is fast, but the only thing you really hear is the wind noise past your ears. Aside from the harley nameplate, it could have been any mfg'rs bike. Something about straddling a large electrically charged battery between my legs though that doesnt seem right... just saying....

If a car that does 0-60 in low 3's isn't fast enough for you then...... I'm not sure if the car is the problem.

Best to get a Tesla Model S performance. EVs are probably what are best for you.

Or, if you want to cough up the HUGE increase in cost to get an over $200k Turbo S, that's of course an option...

As a longtime owner of several different turbo cars, going back to the 80’s, I always felt that overtaking acceleration, or free way merging accelerations are what mattered most...to me, anyway.

Well, I honestly don't think the car is boring. I think there is probably something else that is making the OP bored. If there is any element to the car that might be slightly boring, it would be that it's not loud enough.

Otherwise, there is no way that the speed/handling of this thing is boring.

I will say that yesterday I drove mine and I was bored. But I was bored because there was WAY too much traffic everywhere. Again, being stuck in the dreary day to day life of other drivers when you have a high performance vehicle that is so capable is what makes this car sometimes a drag to own. I cannot use this power and speed, mostly because it would be unsafe, illegal, get me in trouble, etc. Hence the only option is the racetrack, which isn't always practical for a lot of people...

i had Tesla Performance 3, fastest car i have ever had, 18 months later, sold it and got gt4. Tesla just gets boring, it has no soul, just like poster just mentioned about the Harley Davidson Livewire, all great, but something is missing in like the 992, it’s losing that feel and soul. It’s almost become too refined, too nice, too luxurious. It’s great for most people, but that’s why I have gt4.

Exactly. Roll on power is what most of us enjoy on the street. How often is a 911 owner going to do full blast 0-60 runs with launch control from a stand still or flat out drag racing from a red light.
None of this is really any fun if you can hear the car power up. A fast car should sound fast.

^ Well, the 992 is even stronger at acceleration while already moving. Being turbo charged and all, by the time I'm merging onto a freeway the RPMs are over 4k, my turbos are all spooled up and overtaking traffic is a breeze

That’s really my point - power when you need it, or makes sense.....not simply power for show, as in, look, I can beat you to the next stop light.

You may enjoy a Hellcat Red Eye even more with good straight line ***** and no waiting for a turbo engine to spool up. I've yet to meet a true car guy that didn't like them.

991.1> 991.2 and 992... Unless you think infotainment and "wet mode" matter. Idk who buys a 911 for those features.. If I wanted infotainment, I'd buy an Audi.

A 2012 base 991.1 is more fun, exciting, and engaging than anything with a 3.0 turbo. They do indeed have much more soul, and thats how the cookie crumbles... Yes, it's the engine and exhaust note.

The 991 looks far from dated, and the gen pop wouldn't be able to differentiate the two 99% of the time. Same thing when the 991 was new and the 997 was the predecessor.

A 991 only looks dated to a 992 owner, for 992 owner reasons... Think "cope".

Before 10,000 people get extremely offended and I receive threats via pm(its happened before)... Calm down and take a chill pill. Don't lie to yourself, and don't troll to feel better.

I am a current 991.2 TTS owner, future 992 GT3 owner, and a past 991.1, and 991.2 Carrera owner of different variants.

To this day I miss the 991.1 and my fiance who knows nothing about cars said the 991.1 C4S was the most fun and scared her the most. It was the sound and the power build up. The TTS makes her feel like her stomach tingles like she's on a roller coaster.

Best way to look at things is to be honest and not lie to yourself. It makes the ownership experience that much better.

Wow. I think most car experts would disagree with your assessment. But, you are entitled to your opinion.

I would agree with him and I have owned a 997, 991.1, 991.2, and driven a 992 extensively (almost bought a 992 targa)
