Just wish they'd add a washer for under $500 bucks...

Nuts for not driving it in the rain. It won’t melt.

I prefer to leave it off and garaged when raining

Had one of 8 911’s with a rear wiper. An unnecessary complication IMO. The’87 that had the rear wiper motor failed which I replaced. The last 5 of them have been since living in Tennessee where it knows how to rain. None of them have been garage queens - they don’t melt when getting wet.

I picked up my new C4S last month and use it as a daily. I spec'd a rear wiper (along with the beautiful aventurine green and heritage interior). I love it. I use it a lot (I live in Canada and I use it as my daily). I also like the look - unique and IMHO goes nicely with the heritage look I was going for. To each his own but I have no regrets and would do it again.

I optioned it on my 911 GTS (my first 911), it's an image that always pops up when I think of a 911 (black turbo going past and see the rear wiper and whaletail going by...)

Yes, I don't need it (live in SoCal) but got to use when I picked it at PECLA when it rained on the way home in September (which never rained before) of last year.

Gets the job done. It also helps when it's snowing and you're not going to fast.

Main issue for me would be accidentally hitting the rear swipe and scratching the glass. I do like a rear wiper just not on a modern 911.

PNW here and absolutely have used it. Like the look too but sometimes wish I didn’t have another squeegee obstacle to avoid.

Bay Area - rains here just enough for me to feel it’s functional. No regrets having it and think it does give the car a bit more of a classic look. I agree that a washer would be nice tho
