Exclamation Liftsystem Faulty

Hi Guys,

happy new year!

I'm a bit in a stressful situation, my Porsch 992 is giving me massive headaches and i am not sure what's going on.
After waiting for 2 years, i took delivery on the 6th of November 2023 and since then i feel like being cursed. First the Liftsystem was giving me errors, then the Start/Stop and finally the convertible function as well.

1.) 21.11.2023 - Error was the Liftsystem
2.) 21.12.2023 - Error: Liftsystem, Start/Stopp, Convertible function

Asking my dealership for a report on the first repair, they said it was my fault as i didn't correctly use that function.
I'm awaiting a report on the second repair.

Did you have had any issues with your liftsystem? When i park i lower the system, but sometimes when i want to lift it, as i am driving out of my driveway, it lifts up, but no longer down.

Thank you!

Zero issues with FAL. It will lower on its own at 25-27mph or you can lower it. This sound like a simple fix when three systems are all affected. Should be no trouble for the dealer. Welcome to the Forum

How can the dealer say you "incorrectly" use the front axle lift? You press a button to raise the car. You press the same button to lower it. If you don't lower it with the button, it will stay lifted until you exceed a certain speed and then automatically lowers. You can also program the raising based on location. How is the dealer blaming an error message from the system on you? It's crazy what some dealers will say!

My FAL has worked great. I use it every time I pull into my driveway as I can't get in easily otherwise.

I wonder if there is something that prevents you from lifting or lowering at the same time you are opening or closing the top?

What did your dealer say you had done incorrectly when operating the Front Axel Lift system ?

OP just joined. First post. Misspells Porsche. Doesn't refer to it as FAL. Post itself makes little sense.

I remember reading on here it's not good to leave it parked with the front lift system up for too long.

Not all of us use acronyms for everything.
Possibly a troll, who knows or cares?

As for his stated issues:
My FAL motor began making grinding noises about 6 mos after delivery. Dealer replaced under warranty (in shop 3 weeks). Agree, lower car when parking. More info needed about the symptoms please. All the time? Only sometimes? Where? Etc.
Start/stop - well, again more info please. Does it work? Is it just a warning error or is it malfunctioning? At every stop or only some?
Ditto convert top.

Maybe you are a troll but if not then please provide us forum members enough info to help you. We can’t be useful to you if you don’t provide enough detail for us to diagnose likely causes of your error messages. Help us help you.

Have a nice day.

Yes, lower FAL before turning off the car. In my experience if I forget to do this, the next time I start the car it will indicate some FAL error. It is harmless and goes away if I just restart the car.

I've gotten a lift system error 3 times at least. But it was after lowering the car, so i was never stuck with it up. After turning the car off and on, it was gone.

When i had it at the dealer for something else i asked them to check it. They said no errors were found. 🙅‍♂️

I don't have FAL but based on the manual instructions provided, it would seem that the system could be programmed to lower itself when the engine is shut off. Especially since the instructions state that it will automatically lower itself after some period of time when operating the vehicle, why not have the system lower itself when the ignition is switched off?

Guessing there is some liability on Porsche if the system automatically lowered itself and damage is incurred from something sitting under the car. Maybe just a way for Porsche to dodge responsibility from this type of incident.

Great idea. A few times I get out and before I’m out of the garage I realize I left it in the up position.
