Come on up and you can look at my 2021 C4S

As to pricing, if you ordered the rear wiper as option 8M1 the price is $370. I'd pay another $130 to add a frickin' washer to go with it...

Legend says the 911 rear wiper was a retrofit in 1966.

planning for a wiper on my GTS. I think it has always evidenced the ethos of the 911 as a practical everyday sports car, and so I always liked the look of them.

Which is why I can't for the life of me understand why they can't include a frickin WASHER for it.

Seems offering a wiper on a slanted window likes 992's rear window w/o washer renders it pretty useless? So, why bother?

(JMHO: I think a rear wiper on a sports coupe looks very much out of place, history/legend or not, I get the point about snow etc...but still, a very strong "no" for me).

For those that have it and use it, is it noisy? I've only used rear the rear wiper on our X3 and it's so noisy. The kids get started when they hear it.

I drive so fast rain never hit the rear window! It also increases my drag coefficient. Why would I require a rear wiper? Things behind me disappear so I never look!

Rear wiper is for if you drive backwards a lot. But I’m always trying to go forward.

Yep and you should come here and drive in winter ...

It is useful clearing snow accumulation and sleet/mud mix during breakup. It does streak in latter condition but better than nothing,

Have you ever owned a 911 with one? I have and it's very useful to clear dew and rainwater, both of which sit on that relatively flat glass panel much more than on a more vertical one. In some markets it's actually standard.

Rear wiper is the most uniquely "911" of all 911 options. Fight me.

REAR WIPER FANS UNITE!

no, I have not…but never, ever wished I had one. Have one on my SUV and have used it for that purpose occasionally but not because I had to but because I could. Granted, living in Florida and taking the SUV when weather is real bad makes me biased…still don’t like the look of it even a little bit.

you have a point…😇….but I still would not rock one even if I am your neighbor.

btw, kudos to you for driving the 911 year round where you live. I prolly would chicken out.

I’ve lived in MN most of life and have never felt like I needed a rear wiper. I’ve also driven a lot of vehicles that didn’t even have a rear windshield. With the defroster, LCA and good ol fashioned mirrors, I think I’ll get by just fine. I do plan to use it in the winter, but I’m not sure I’d take it out in a heavy snow storm. Better tools/vehicles in the stable for that job.
